Almost all architectural periods have pluses and minuses. If you are referring to the plethora of developer built McMansions littering neighborhoods, I'd agree. In the day, Frank Loyd Wright's buildings were considered modern architecture. His originality and groundbreaking designs greatly influenced residential and commercial architecture forever.

-Probably the most famous home he designed, Falling Water.

This circular home of his design is in Phoenix Arizona.

There are elements of the Zimmerman house which have inspired many homes built over decades.

I toured Falling Water while in college.
The highlight of my "liberal arts" education.

Explains why I "had to" go back to school years later for something practical/useful.
