Nonsense aside is their a celebrity more “accomplished” than Will Smith? He won the first ever Rap Grammy 33 years ago.  It has been a great run for him.

Unfortunately for his marriage he was never Tupac (not that Tupac was going to be interested in a long term relationship with Jada).

In your post above this regarding more accomplished actors.  As much as I hate to say it, Deniro, Leo, Depp, Cruise etc. come to mind.  As far as talent goes there are too many to list.  Jamie Foxx is superbly talent in many facets of entertainment than Smith.  Will just got lucky after a silly song that gained him popularity.  He wasn't a typical hardcore rapper that people feared, people found him funny on Fresh Prince, he starred in large budget movies, and a couple good stories like Ali and from the sound of it this one was good to that he won for last night.  He was the "peaceful" funny black dude that was seen as s safe blackie by everyone.  Pretty sure he ruined that last night.

I didn’t mean he was the most talented. He is the most acclaimed though. Grammy winner (and we can argue if he was the most deserving in 89 but he won) with multiple platinum rap records, spanning decades. Star of a hit TV show to successful blockbuster after blockbuster… and then when he finally decides to be be respected for his craft (I’m not sure when he transitioned from the action movie role, was it with pursuit of happiness) he wins an Oscar.

Jamie Fox is extremely talented but he’s not the star Will Smith is. The other actors you named are stars on the same level as Smith but none of them will ever win a Grammy or even have a Gold album.
