TWO MEN NABBED WITH ENOUGH FENTANYL TO KILL 4.7 MIL PEOPLE

(And COVID's a problem, LOL)   ::)

Police arrested 36-year-old Edgar Alfonso Lamas and 53-year-old Carlos Raygozaparedes ... after authorities found 821 lbs of meth, nearly 190 pounds of cocaine and 20.5 pounds of fentanyl pills inside a minivan pulling out from an Orange County, CA home.

honestly, A LOT of the 'fentanyl" on the 'street' isn't fenanyl at all... it's damn near all obscure 'analogues' and 'zenes' that are dirt cheap and don't show up on tests, but keep users fom getting dope sick.... with much less risk of having their buyers OD.

To be fair people are not overdosing because they are taking Fentanyl they are overdosing because they don't know how much Fentanyl they are taking or that they are taking it at all. Imagine if every time you drank a beer you didn't know if it was 5% ABV or 95% ABV spiked with moonshine how many people would be dead? That is why alcohol is regulated and even drunks rarely overdose and die. When you regulate drugs and people know what they are getting and the dosage overdoses and deaths fall to near 0 levels. The war on drugs is not about saving lives.

Here in Portugal people are so poor they can't afford high doses. Never heard of meth or fentanyl over here.
Regarding the "decriminalize" use of drugs i read all the time in foreign publications,, it's not that linear. If you are smoking pot in public you get arrested. Not prossecuted, but arrested. You get a slap on the wrist by the judge. If you get many, you will face jail.

Hell, if i get caught with a few ampouls of roids, i can get charged with trafficking. 6 years.
The "portuguese example" i read all the time, is something that doesn't happen here in Portugal, only in Joe Rogan podcasts.

It's an inevitable conclusion of our war on drugs.  Fentanyl is much easier to smuggle than heroin, so that's what's dominating the streets.  Only two ways out:

1) provide clean regulated opiates to users
2) improve living conditions so people don't turn to drugs

neither will happen, but 1) has a slightly greater chance

I agree with you on this one. The drug wars have been an absolute disaster. Republicans going on about cartels controlling the  borders.  The cartels exist as a result of the black market opportunities created by the drug war.

It's simple supply and demand as long as there is a demand there will be a supply. We can't keep drugs out of maximum security prisons we are not going to keep them out of the Country. The more you stop the higher goes the price the more profitable it is to supply more the more crime is committed to buy and sell it. If you regulated it prices, crime committed to buy it would drop , crime committed to sell it would drop, and deaths would drop. What is the actual goal of the drug war? Because the drug war is what causes death and crime not drugs.

  3. Public executions of suppliers/manufacturers. Which probably wouldnt make a difference but would be a diversion

Exactly, one of the stupidest things ever written.

Along the lines of Primes very gay/retarded "but is he sexual"  ::)

It’s always a win when a drug-user ODs and croaks.

I encourage this.

It’s amazing to me there are people who champion a need to save these people.

“They’re human beings.”

I don’t give a fuck if they’re Vulcans who cook fantastic pizzas.

I love when they die.
