The Panther uses a 130 mm cannon compared to the 125 mm used by Russia and 120 mm by most Western countries. Despite the slight increase, the shell itself is considerably bigger than those used by a 120 mm gun.
It will also be able to fire an 'anti-structure' projectile for buildings. And also have a direct energy weapon, a type of laser, to protect against drones. Looks like it will have a remote control machine gun as well.
The cannon will use an autoloader, have 20 rounds and the tank will have a drone. Of which a fourth crew member could operate or the tank could otherwise have 3 crew.
New materials have reduced the weight of the tank to 59 tonnes which will increase acceleration, mobility and speed.
The tank will have have cameras all around providing a 360 degree view and will have an auto targeting mechanism.
Leopard II tanks can also be fitted with the Panther turret.
