Funny, I live in a large hi-rise building in a very densely populated area of NYC. There are many older people. Yet, somehow there was never a rash of deaths during the first year when a more virulent strain was supposedly running wild and no one was vaccinated.

Also in my local supermarkets, the cashiers are mainly older overweight women, yet nobody died even though they dealt with the public in close contact every day.

But I’m sure young healthy people are dropping like flies in Toronto.
