Pretty accurate description.

Thor, the titular hero, has actually become dumber and more incompetent as his story goes on. The director seemed very impressed with himself. He didn’t really make a "Thor" movie he made a Taika Watiti movie with Thor in it.

The story was not very compelling. The acting is better left unsaid. Everytime the movie started to gain some momentum it was spoiled with bad attempts at humor. The humor is always the same: some gaffe at Thors expense.

I enjoyed the Thor Ragnarok, Avengers Infinity War and tgr Guardians of the Galaxy movies. They all had a good blend of fight sequences, emotion (for a comic book) pretty good acting, witty banter.

The last few movies, especially this latest Thor, have become cheap parodies of what they once were.

It seemed like Thor became a caricature of his character, like how Homer Simpson got stupider as the show went on. Like a corny Ragnorok which I did like. I agree on the soundtrack being great though.

DC (Warner Bros Discovery) have canned a lot of their crap and are streamlining. Marvel/Disney need to do the same, otherwise it will be more miss than hit going forwards with them.

The fact they had to two gay “heroes” was hilarious. The black chick is lesbo and the rock dude is homo. WTF! Thor getting his ass kicker to only get saved by the little no muscle chick. Again wtf!!! They made Zeus sound like the parody on SNL selling Gyros. I don’t get why he always gets caught by the shadows. Or the Zeus hand cuffs and always seem to struggle but then can get out with a little effort. Why doesn’t he just use that effort upfront.
Once that kid scene happened I felt embarrassed for even watching the movie.

I saw the trailer for Pinocchio. So the fairy god mother is black and the little princess girl is black. This shit is out of hand.

100% agree. I'm fine with him making his own movies and making it all about him, but not with an established character. Ragnarok was decent but it's clear he was testing the water for how much he could turn up the Waititi level for this one

went to the theatre a few months ago watching les miserables, the character of Cossette was playing by a small white child and then a black woman?

Its like they really wanted to make the point.

The only good thing for me was that the entire movie soundtrack appeared to be completely sourced from the Guns N' Roses music catalogue. For that reason alone, I was able to sit through it without gouging my eyes out.

I went with my 16 year old godson when I was back home in Australia last month. He loved it. I liked it a lot more when I just saw it as a Thor story that Korg was telling and making up shit when he didn't know anything. Then it was fun. If it'd tried to watch it as a standard MCU film I would have been disappointed.
