Who told you he was weak?? I've seen pictures of him doing barbell curls with 225 lbs
Dillett himself stated that he was only bench pressing 135-lb when beginning his journey to the 2006 Montreal Pro show. He had loaded 225-lb on the bar, but couldn't even get one rep.
So yeah, I'd say that is pretty weak, even after an extended layoff. Granted, my bench press went below 250-lb due to the pandemic gym closures, but now it's almost 350 again - well...315 handily for reps...I've just been avoiding max singles for injury-prevention reasons.
Not to make excuses - I guess I expected more from Paul because of his large size and muscularity. From what I can tell, I am stronger than he was in some lifts.
But hey - this is bodybuilding, right? So who cares what he lifts?
Bottom line - look at that shoulder-to-waist ratio, as well as his long, large arms. Very Goodrum-like:
