In a nation that has a history of major hospital chains defrauding medicare all the time (HCA for example).

But even despite that, if I took the numbers at face value the Spanish Flu killed five times as many people per capita, and did it in one season. Taking into account the fact that the SF was also the beginning of Influenza A it has killed millions more in the last 100 years.
