The fact that you don’t realize there is a huge difference between saying your chances of dying because you got covid, and that if you actually die and it’s “because of covid” is very alarming coming from a supposed medical professional.
99.99% survival rate and “1 in 6 your death was caused by”, are totally different.
Exactly. OAK doesn't get the difference.
On top of that, that 1 in 6 who die of Covid almost always have underlying illness. In an August 2020 press release, the CDC said that 94% of those who died "of Covid" had 2-3 underlying diseases.
68% had an astonishing SIX OR MORE diseases.
So 1 in 6 dying is 100 in 600. But 94 of those 100 had underlying disease. So only 6 in 600 die directly of Covid, which is 1 in 100, not 1 in 6.
And the average age of that 1 in 100 [which is only 1%] who die had an average age of 84.
So 1% of Getbiggers will die directly of Covid, if we live to the 80-100 range.
That's really no big deal. Nothing that any of us should remotely be concerned about.
