There are 3 main types of averages. Mean, median and mode.
In a normal distribution (which is what you are referring to) the median = the mean.
So my statement is correct.

I was originally going to use the number set {1,2,3,4,5}, but had to change it to {1,2,3,4,5,6,7} because in the first set, the mean = 3 = the median.
