When I Was a Bodybuilding Douche…

I thought having a drink was anathema to the lifestyle to me it was the one thing you didn’t do thankfully over time that mentality subsided.

These days I have a drink every day. Just one. I work nights and my job is stressful. There’s nothing like coming home and pouring yourself a little Tito’s/Orange Juice and relaxing. Just one.

I also find a drink while doing household chores is tits. Just sipping while Swiffering is like popping an Addy.
Microdosing alcohol is key. Sips. Maintain a little buzz. Stay functional. Stay clear minded but a little dopamine release ever since slightly lowering inhibitions makes everything nice. It makes me more productive.

Never get drunk.
Never feel a hangover.
Sips.
Go for the long ball.

This is not a preaching / condescending thread, I would just like to hear about you guys' personal experiences with alcohol.

If I drink the equivalent of 10 - 15 beers per week, the slight hangovers make me sleep worse and I get less done on the weekends.
I stopped drinking completely now and I feel so much better in several ways.

Do you guys drink recreationally?
And does it have good or bad consequences?

10-15 beers a week is a lot.

10 beers a week is 1 drink a day and two on Fri / Sat / Sun.  It's not a lot if it's a 12 oz / 4%

And context is important - alcohol content, serving size, etc.

I never drink by myself at home, so once or twice a week when i go out with the wife or with friends.

If I drink with the wife, it's mainly wine.
With friends: cognac, rhum, beer.
