Well,at 80 years of age we can`t be expecting him to be benching 405 for reps Vince !!  LOL  ;D

He has nothing to prove having won all the major titles he has taken over a period of decades .....he`s a living legend......don`t let your dislike for the man blind you of his rightful place in bodybuilding.

Zane has a home gym and supposedly uses it. How on earth can he lose everything he trained so hard to get? The guy has no shame or has severe problems that prevent him from training for some size. I am a believer in using hypertrophy training as a trigger for sustaining some size in old age. Works for me. Arms are around 18 and I am still strong. I train once a week.

It's called OLD AGE. The man is darn-near EIGHTY YEARS OLD!!

You expect him to look like a men's physique competitor? Good Grief.

He's got three Sandows and three Mr. Universe titles. I think he knows a thing or two about bodybuilding.

I totally agree....and he won the IFBB Mr. America title as well.

Testosterone levels steadily start to drop around the age of 25.....at 80 I doubt that it`s very easy to build a ton of muscle mass.

I am 80 as well. It is easy to keep arms big and strong at my age, and naturally as well. So I don’t understand how Frank has lost so much.

I have met Zane and he is a decent and polite gentleman.  I found no deceit in his mannerisms.  Perhaps he enjoys a different style and focus in his training than you?    I recall an interview on TV where the host asked Frank why he didn't enter the "Masters Olympia".  Zane replied (paraphrased)  "Well, I've won three Olympias and I have a Master's Degree in Experimental Psychology" so why would I need to enter this competition?"

He did not come off as flippant at all.   The man is without a doubt, the most intelligent and educated Mr. Olympia of all time.  When my older brother was introduced to Zane by Leo Stern, he later told me his impressions of the man and they were pretty much the same.  Polite, well mannered and possessing an air "quality" if you will, in all things.  Not your typical moronic, manhoe bodybuilder such as been the current case for what seems like an eternity now.  Everyone still wants to believe they're the next Schwarzenegger and so they try their bestest to be smarmy.

Given the pervs that control the asspuppet strings of today's "bodybuilding" it is doubtful we shall ever again see a Frank Zane.

When Zane put on a medium t-shirt he disappeared. At any point in his career. Bodybuilding is about being bigger and stronger. Period.

Definition has played too big a part in bb contests for decades now. I don't agree. Bodybuilding was and still is about getting muscles as big as possible. Contests are not necessary and introduce all manner of bullshit over the years. In 1992 Dillet was the best bodybuilder period. The contests then mean bugger all.

Zane got gifts in 77, 78 and 79. Now he is an old fart who looks like he never lifted a weight in his life.

Within 30 years the world will still praise him. Can we say the same about you?

I don't know about "the world". There's are many who don't recognize Zane's swimmer's build as a genuine bodybuilding

Zane at 75 is a frail old man. Nothing less. He is 80 now so imagine what he looks like?

Do you think you could defeat zane in fight vince?

Vince, not being a wiseass here, but do you train your entire body or just your arms?

For 80 Zane looks lean and pretty fit......why would anyone want to be huge at 80 anyway?

Damn straight, brother.  Preach it!  Zane is one of the all-time greats and one very intelligent man.

And that signature pose of his is beyond anything seen before or since Mr. Zane!

Zane looks nothing of the sort. Yes, he's old. But, he's obviously been hitting the iron still.

Definition has been, in some cases, too big of a factor. But, you STILL have to show up cut. Arnold wasn't in shape and he got beat.

Dillet wasn't the best bodybuilder. As soon as he posed, he beat himself.

If this isn't "in shape" then I don't ever want to be "in shape".

Look at Franco just destroying Zane here. Never mind Arnold blowing away both Zane and Ferrigno. Zane looks out of place here.

Bullshit. He looks great in that pic and he could out-squat, bench and deadlift dainty little Frank Zane.

you are aware the 1968 Universe was a bodybuilding contest and not a powerlift meet?

and how would they have worked out who was stronger just by looking at them?
By your argument Paul Anderson could have won it at 350lb of blubber

If you can't tell that Arnold was bigger and stronger than the insect Frank Zane just by looking then you are blind.

no you cant, I look bigger and stronger than a lot of guys at our gym but most of them lift way more than I do.
