That's irrelevant because that's not within the context of what we were discussing.  It wasn't about fact checks in general, it was about Trump's performance at the debate being impacted by biased moderators.

The ABC moderators of the debate did not fact check Harris but certainly did fact check Trump.  Independent networks fact checking doesn't change the environment Trump was dealing with.

In addition, if people are watching ABC and ABC alone, they don't see what other networks are doing as well.

ABC should never be allowed to host a debate again.

I don't think they were proven false.  As Vance said, he had heard these claims from constituents, and the abortion one I saw proven correct, but I don't really recall it.

However, regardless, they fact checked one and not the other.  I imagine the debate would have gone much differently with moderators who were fair.  Imagine this:

"Madame Vice President, President Trump did not refer to nazis and white supremacists as "very fine people".  He specifically stated he was referring to the folks in the statue debate, and condemned the nazis and supremacists.  This has been known for years"

"Madame VP, we actually DO have our military in active zones over the world, your statement is incorrect"

"Madame VP, Donald Trump has repeatedly said he would not enforce a federal abortion ban, so that is a lie"

"Madame VP, Donald Trump has, on multiple occasions, denounced Project 2025 and says he wants no part of it, so that is a lie".

She would not have been able to operate with confidence and impunity.  She would have stumbled greatly.

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris both campaigned in Michigan on Saturday with just more than a week until election day.

Trump attempted to make his case to Muslim voters frustrated with the Biden-Harris administration's response to the Israel-Hamas war during a rally in Novi, Michigan, while Harris brought out former first Lady Michelle Obama during her stop in the city of Kalamazoo.

"To the women listening: We have every right to demand the men in our lives do better by us. We have to use our voices to make these choices clear to the men that we love. Our lives are worth more than their anger and disappointment," Obama said.

Harris was also heckled over the war in Gaza during her rally in Michigan.

Meanwhile, Trump highlighted to the Muslim community in Michigan that his critic and former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., is campaigning with Harris, calling Cheney a "Muslim-hating warmonger."

"Kamala is campaigning with Muslim-hating warmonger, Liz Cheney, who wants to invade practically every Muslim country on the planet. And let me tell you the Muslims of our country, they see it, and they know it," Trump said.

Trump also spoke Saturday at a rally at State College in Pennsylvania, where he vowed to slash U.S. energy costs in half.

Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is set to play the Madden NFL video game on the streaming platform Twitch with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. on Sunday.

Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance will appear at a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday along with notable figures in politics and entertainment.

You seem sure that it was a liberal who set the ballot box in Vancouver, WA on fire. Why is that? Vancouver is a Democratic stronghold. Since 2008 Clark County, WA has voted Democrat in Presidential Elections. It appears you have it backwards and Harris must be winning in Clark County which has Republican's setting ballot boxes on fire.

Someone also set fire to two ballot boxes in Portland around the same time. Portland is a Democratic stronghold.

We may know soon enough who the perpetrator is. Authorities have identified a “suspect vehicle” that was seen leaving the scene of the first fire. Authorities believe these three, and one other ballot box burning on October 8, 2024, are connected.

In West Linn and Lake Oswego, OR there has been a rash of Harris - Vance lawn signs being stolen and or trashed. There is no question which group of folks is behind this vandalism.
