If I get 10x3 previous workout I add 2.5 to 5lbs.

I'm not actually calculating % doing this.  Did that to answer your question about %.

If you are just finding where you're at you can add 10 lbs until it gets up in the 70% range then go to adding 2.5 or 5lbs.

There is some self-regulating here so as not to push the CNS too hard.

Today I did bench and just added 2.5 lbs. and got 10x3 again.

So, next time will add another 2.5lbs.

I'm thinking just stretch out the progression as long as possible.

If I could only get 5x3 and only 2 on the 6th set I'd would stop there and come back next time for more triples.

If I really stall out and can't progress with the triples (which will eventually happen) then go to doing singles 10x1 with the last weight used in the triples and go up same way until stall.

Then drop 20% off the top single weight and back to triples.  Repeat.

Hope that makes sense.

I increased by 2.5lbs and was able to do 10x3 E2.5MOM.  I find the first couple of sets making me think it would be rough to finish, but sets 4-9 are much easier.

I then did 3 x 5 CGBP, slow with a pause, supersetted with Leg Extesions 3 x 25/20/17(nh) because I have to do leg work to work around the hammy tear.

Then neutral grip viking press 2 x 12. supersetted with two more Leg Extensions of 7/10.

Then sets of 20/15/10/10 of sand bag hip thrusts (full homo) to work legs around tear as well

Sounds good.
I have the same experience with those first few sets being the hardest.

bench 6 sets, incline hammer 4 sets, pec deck 4 sets, military press superset with laterals, 4 sets, rear delts 4 sets, behind head dumbell for tris 3 sets, kickbacks 3 sets, over head rope extensions 3 sets,....a bunch of foam rolling and planks

training is going great, cardio is great, nutrition is great but I went from 245 to 252 and that disappoints me. Sure, maybe its from the upping the weights and intensity and going hard, plus 300 grams protein a day, but I dont want to go up. Bit bummed about that

Yeah, I like the 5x5, and actually think it's one of the more difficult rep ranges if you're using the right weight, especially that last set.

Since I play baseball twice a week, I've been doing low rep all summer so I don't tax myself and get injured.

All that worked well until two weeks ago where I tore a hammy.  Working through that now.
