Ironat - since it is a bench day again - do you follow up the 10 x 3 at 81% with 82%, etc or do you change the workout?

If I get 10x3 previous workout I add 2.5 to 5lbs.
I'm not actually calculating % doing this. Did that to answer your question about %.
If you are just finding where you're at you can add 10 lbs until it gets up in the 70% range then go to adding 2.5 or 5lbs.
There is some self-regulating here so as not to push the CNS too hard.
Today I did bench and just added 2.5 lbs. and got 10x3 again.
So, next time will add another 2.5lbs.
I'm thinking just stretch out the progression as long as possible.
If I could only get 5x3 and only 2 on the 6th set I'd would stop there and come back next time for more triples.
If I really stall out and can't progress with the triples (which will eventually happen) then go to doing singles 10x1 with the last weight used in the triples and go up same way until stall.
Then drop 20% off the top single weight and back to triples. Repeat.
