Smith Inclines - 5 sets

Lying D-Bell Tricep Ext/Press - 5 sets
Dips - 5 sets
Cable-Push Down - 5 sets

Started an Ed Coan type progression on my main lifts (SQ, B, DL, OHP).
Going to slowly work back up after this odd year of injury. Fun, feeling good...

Feeling a lot better today
drank lots of fluid yesterday (no homo)

Trained chest shoulders tris today

Looking full and dry 5 days out from show

Going to carb load 2 days this week Thursday Friday then lower carbs Sat and increase sodium to hopefully dry out and stay full
Keep the water going in up until late Saturday night
Sunday morning day of show steak eggs in the AM a gram of pink salt
Some simple carbs 2 hours before stage and 1gram salt

Fuck it, lets see how it goes

Spoke to a myofacial therapist today , he mentioned something interesting
You should always train calves first when training legs, training calves triggers the glutes and piriformis muscles also hamstrings, it gets the nerves firing as the signals have to pass from your brain down through the other muscles to get to the calves

Not sure if this has a lot to do with the lack of calves on todays competitors

Anyway, not looked into the science of what he says but its an interesting concept

For most of us it seems we are all after hypertrophy instead of power lifting records. So we train by feel and use enough weight to trigger primarily muscle growth. If you want to go for max poundage you also need to develop the nervous system, the mechanical skillset and the explosive strength faculties.

This guy only weighed about 160 pounds yet can outlift, in the Olympic events, most guys twice his size (that just body build). But that was his goal so he trained differently than a bodybuilder.
