a lot rounder and seperation improved- ironically my frotn detls look miles better without pressing.

I am also 51 so injuries take years to get through. I've also found a grreat seated side raise machnie i use from time to time- it justseemsbiomechancally right for me as the weight and reps fly up! hoghly recommend!

there is a cybex side raise which is meant to be great but i just cant get on with it.

we are not designed to press things overhead, our shoulders are designed for pushing away from the body or down, like climbing over something, not upwards

I do presses but I generally do them last in my workout after they are wiped out......not always, but if I do them first, I no longer use anything more than the 40-55 pounders for highish reps........using the 80`s in the past while seated made my shoulders click.

Much better to concentrate on lateral and rear deltoid heads from a bodybuilding standpoint as the front delt which presses hit most, are normally targeted more than enough doing benches,incline work,pec-deck variations,crossovers, and flyes.........side delts with a smaller waist, will make you appear wider and give you a better V-shape.

Where did bit of bro-science come from?

The shoulder has 180deg of flexion as well as abduction.  Why do you think that is? 

The reason bodybuilders have shitty shoulder joints and complain about them later on is they fuck them up by not doing things that keep the damn things healthy.  The injure them and then just train through the pain because "its not that bad".  They have crap for mobility of their thoracic spine and blame it on something stupid
