Question quickly for everyone on all sides of the aisle.
Why do you think Trump kept hold of those documents? What was his reasoning behind it? Was he going to use them as a bargaining chip at some point? I can't think of why he would do this.
There are two reasons behind all of Trumps actions
1. He is a narcissist. He only thinks about himself and how he can use anything and everything for his own personal gain
2. He is a fucking moron. This is an established fact by anyone who has worked with him (and a direct quote from his first Secretary of State)
These two factors are the driving force behind everything that he does
These two factors are why he lies so much. His entire strategy in life has been to just keep lying and lying and lying and he eventually has always circled around to find an escape route of some kind. At least, that's how it used to be before he was POTUS.
He has no interest in the security of the United States and many people around him have witnessed not only his utter stupidity about our history and geopolitics but also his utter disdain for people who serve in the military and most especially military members that have died defending our country. It's was widely reported by people around him that he didn't want to be seen with injured service members and called those that died defending our country "suckers" and "losers". He openly questioned why any "smart" person would join the military. The concept of serving your country had no meaning to him. He simply could not understand it because his entire focus in life is serving himself at any and all expense. Even at the expense of what is good for our country or our national security
Again, to simplify it, he's an very stupid person who only thinks about himself at all times and because he is so stupid and self serving his actions often lead to getting himself in trouble.
