What are you shocked about?

Here a dozen large free range eggs costs of 4 euros. 6 organic eggs costs 2.90

Regular eggs were around $5/dozen several months ago where I am so this is quite a change from $5 to $1.

Where I am you can currently get a dozen for under $2.

At one point it was as high as $6.50.

All soy feed and cages full of feces

That's what makes them taste so good and the feces increases their nitrogen content.

Don't buy eggs from caged hens. You're literally funding torture and it's one area where you can effect change with pretty much zero effort. Blows my mind that decent people still do it.

No limit. The cooler was full of egg cartons.  I bought 5 dozen.

I'm sure if you tried to buy a hundred dozen they might say no.

Egg price here increased since the cost of living crisis/war/great reset.

Globally a lot of egg laying chickens were culled around this time to stop the spread of bird flu. That was the main reason egg prices increased.

There is no reason for the prices not to drop now.
