Don't buy eggs from caged hens. You're literally funding torture and it's one area where you can effect change with pretty much zero effort. Blows my mind that decent people still do it.

X2.

Same goes for meat from  factory farmed caged pigs/cows etc.

I know,it`s far better/healthier to just eat an orange but I do like it at times.

Plants have feelings too.  They've proved it.

Fruit isn't good for you either.  Too much sugar.

Slightly better than eating candy.

You won't !ive to 100 if you keep it up.

Fruit is healthy in moderation. Being an anti carb nazi is not healthy.

Please, I beg of you, don't goad me into a lengthy diatribe about mechanoreception, sentience, and hyperbolic personifications of ultrasonic emissions.

No, swallowing raw eggs is easier, crack 3 eggs, put them in a glass and swallow them, that's it, nice protein drink (protein and fat)

I agree but I've heard there's lawyer bullshit in labeling. "Free range" means they've got a particular sized area outside the barn except in practice the chickens are too stupid to go out there so they spend as much time inside as non-free range birds. No feed stipulations either.

Kinda like how legally you can call something 'organic' by meeting regulations but it can still be monocroped potentially GMO crap seeded just long enough after the glyphosate.

Maybe I'm full of shit. I never dug in to it. I buy the free range but always suspect I'm funding shysters.

We have debunked "free range" earlier in the thread.  They can have a 1x1 area.

Pasture raised is best, because they eat a natural, varied diet - plants, mice, bugs, etc.....

Feels like it does make a difference with yolk color and taste, to an extent.

1x1 for all of them?! If they all went out that'd be a tower of chickens like 500 feet high!

I still outsource my animal edibles so I guess it's fair I get hucksters.

It's not just division of labor/ I don't have time to hunt for meat. I don't have the time but even if I did I'd still be squeamish about killing a mammal and I'd even have a hard time with ducks or chickens. I sure like gobbling them up tho.  ::) I'm totally full of shit.
