I think HIT training can work for some muscle groups - but not biceps. Probably not triceps either. I think they need higher reps for growth.
Although I would also argue that the literature seems pretty clear: higher rep ranges are more effective.
And it's literally something as high as 35-50 reps that is the end of the effective muscle building range. That surprised me. The magazines always said 8-12. Jeff Nippard reported 35 or more, in a video. He may have been reporting on a meta-analysis.
Regarding Dorian: didn't he say that part of the reason he tore his biceps was training after the 1994 Mr. Olympia while still being extremely lean and dry? I recall reading that in a magazine.
