That’s crazy, it is typically the gas cap or purge valve.

Have him clear the code, go get a new purge valve and replace your old one, then drive for a few weeks and see if the check engine light returns.

This should be a simple fix even if it is loose vapor hose or blockages.

The garage is in another town...he said he`s still checking everything......he`s usually really good.....been in business forever.

I took it there to get my inspection sticker so I need it done ASAP.

The lights been on for a while now but I thought it was an 02 sensor,so I kept driving it........my sticker expired in June so I have no choice or I would just pay him and leave, but I`m like a cop magnet in this rinky dink town.

On my last lift I attempted a class record and my right bicep tweaked a little and I had to bail on the lift, but I knew I had it in me. There were so many contestants that I was there all day and as the event drug on I lost focus and a chance at a world record.”

The reality:
“There was one person entered in the 242 class and he lifted less than the weights he claimed he trains with. He was also blasting gear to the point of nose bleeds. The contest was held in a gym lobby and less than 50 people total attended.”
