Your weight and age class had a record you couldn't beat so you went to a higher weight class because the record there happened to be lower, so now you claim to be the "world record" holder.

After reading and comparing both organizations’ rulebook for strict curling it is obvious the Raw Powerlifting Federation has more stringent rules and is an actual real organization.

The PL Org's do muddy the waters, which doesnt help.
World records in their own Org's, etc. I knew a guy at the gym who said he's a world record holder. He told me the website.
It was some small Org that had 3 meets and folded. (ME/VT area).

He was the only one in his class (period, not just his meet) and he had a world-record in that Org with a 245 lb bench press at 198.
Ive seen him do it and struggle w/ it.

I didnt want to burst his bubble, I told him congrats, then did 10 reps w/ his 245...   

In all seriousness, they need to re-word their records. "Federation Record" or similar.
Unless it really is a world-record, beating IPF and other large Org's...

And certainly a lifting record with an objective number of pounds lifted is very different than a boxing record where two guys need to actually fight their opponents.  I know there's small variations in what gets green lighted or not, but if you Strict Curl 150 and another guy in a meet in the exact same class Strict Curled 155 calling yourself a World Record holder is just plain Hankins "melatonin is a PED" stupid. 

Bragging about it when you've been on Test, A-bombs and GH is even worse.

if I am reading that thing right in the class I would be in 220lbs and 60-64 years old there is no record.So all I have to do is sign up and lift an empty bar and I am a World record holder.Jesus fucking Christ what a farce.

He's the only lifter in his age/division, ever. He could have benched the 45 lb. bar and gotten a "world record"

Again I don’t make the age groups or the weight classes. I didn’t create the record list.  I didn’t design the bar or write the rules I am merely following the regulations and rules of the organization that promotes the meets. They had a world record in the 45-50 age group at 242lbs I entered the class and I broke it argue about the rest of it with the organization not my rules.
