I liked Flex Wheeler in 1992 and 1993.

But his ego became a bit much after that.

My hugely unpopular view is that Flex Wheeler should have been disqualified from the 1999 Olympia for the sheer amount of synthol in his arms, delts, traps and calves.  His biceps looked like oil filled water balloons for fuck's sake.  Everyone was marking out for the hype, not what he actually looked like.

Ronnie and Cormier would’ve been a great top two.

Despite the synthol, Ruhl could’ve definitely placed higher in 1999.

I know that 99.9% of reported 'pro stacks' are BS, but has anything ever been posted on GB about his intake?

I'd kind of stopped following the sport around this time, but I understand that he finally blew his kidneys with some sort of monster Milos stack, no..?

I remember when Flex did an interview and he was asked which year he took the most drugs. Flex said 1996.

That was the year that he did the early shows in March, the middle of the year shows in May, and then the end of the year shows... Mr Olympia and Grand Prix Tour. Then he had to start prepping for the 1997 Arnold Classic in early 97.

An Asian Gang or something, they looked Asian, and spoke another language... I think it was Asian... prevented Flex from competing in the 1997 Olympia though

Cormier said that Flex punched a mirror and sliced his hand to ribbons. But we a know that Cormier lied about that.

Note: the Asian gang had “screamer sticks” and Flex forcefully threw his car keys at them. That must’ve hurt them terribly.

Flex was an arrogant ass back then, but over the years, as he got older, grew wiser and actually is a really cool person to talk to!   Quiet a few competitors are like that.

I agree. He was fun to watch as a teenager on ESPN winning contests and ascending. You knew he was going to be a pro so you could go along for the ride.

He did something on his purported stack for winning the AC in 93 very recently. I think it was on the Dennis James podcast. Okay, so he counted all the things he used and it came out to about 3 grams total, which would be a good amount especially considering his bodyweight then. One strange thing about it is he claimed he did like a half unit or one unit of GH every other day. Maybe he couldn't count or something, didn't understand what the syringe markings meant, I don't know, but back right around that time and before many DID use ridiculously low doses because the recombinant 191AA GH was just only entering the market. It was extremely expensive and it might have been hard to get ahold of even for a pro.
I remember he said 800mg of the stack was Deca and then there was also a ridiculously high dose of Winstrol at some point, some confusion on how much he meant but it was a lot. So okay, now this sounds all reasonable and surely something close to what he did then, but here's the thing: Flex has been full of shit most of the time so this may just be something that would sound good for the podcast, truthful and something people in the know would accept. But was this his stack? Who the hell knows and it doesn't even matter really, we know what those guys did approximately. There's actually a high chance this stack is EXAGGERATED!

One guy on professionalmuscle said this:

Quote
His stories are all over the place, I’ve personally listened to him tell the same story with 20 different versions of cycle dosages to different people, I’m not trying to bash Flex since he has enough going on in his life but that being said he’s a clown 🤡 I’d believe Pinocchio before I’d ever believe anything Flex tells me about drug dosages.

Lol at the bolded. Well, that's the reputation he has built for himself, a clown.
What I have been extra irritated about with Flex, Lol, is his use of the made up term "sports supplement technology" for drugs lmao. Isn't that precious, like he needs to hide the word drugs so the kids don't hear it, at least it's funny in a pathetic way I guess.

Milos is known for low steroids recommendations and the guys he trains probably don't listen to him wrt to that, they do their own thing, Milos' thing is the giant sets and trying to blow up the physique with carb manipulations and insulin. Flex' kidneys were blown way before this episode, many years before. I think what happened was simply he gained a ton of water in days/couple of weeks and ended up in the hospital. Wasn't Milos' program per se, it's not very dangerous to use insulin for a period like he advices, provided you are healthy to begin with.

A rambling post but hopefully it makes some sense.

BTW, just to add this. It's funny how suddenly everyone talks about drugs and dosages, practically throwing it in your face constantly on social media. It used to be that "they can't talk about it because it's illegal" but that was balonie. It's just people following trends. Now everything is "TRT," it's like it's all they talk about now, a drugs guy like myself feels like "shut the fuck up allready, enough! No one cares about your fucking TRT!"  :D

Kids using the word "tren." It's the hip thing to say constantly, especially how crazy it made you. Worse than crack and meth Larry Wheels said.

Did all  that oil his kidneys had to filter out destroy them?  It's okay to put a little oil on your salad to go thru your digestive system but to inject it into a muscle is madness.

In American Psycho they never reverted to just ratting off their bank account exact numbers - they focused on more subtle , nuanced tings such as business cards and suits

the same is with bodybuilding - as you get up in the ranks no one talks about EAXCT NUMBER DRUG USE , the tools on YouTube do just because people will blindly tune into that shit - -every high school kid will watch it before he beats off at night too

but for all the gyms bros who "want exact numbers from pros" its a pipe dream - you're better off hounding Chris Aceto or Haney - they would know more about , or even be more inclined to talk about dosages and rat off numbers of shit -

its like asking a guy how his wife likes to get fckd with the pro dosages numbers shit nowadays

I didn't know he acted like a total c unt.

The guy was " neciamente presumido" can't find the right translation. a sickening douche?

In his prime He would ask for an exotic car (convertible) to do guest appearances at BB shows then he will be at parking lot driving slow around fans avoiding eye contact, lol   ;D like" look at me but I won't look at you"  ...

At the gym when younger fans would approach the tool, he would brag that he was this that" nonstop and then he would intimidate them by telling them he was a martial artist, and his arms and legs were lethal weapons .

Life found its way to slap him in the mouth

Anyone here with any type of medical background who thinks Synthol is toxic for having to be "filtered out"? I don't really see it, it's just MCT oil.

Too bad Flex blew all of his money. Could have bought a boat and became a pirate. "Black Fool" would be a good pirate name. He could stump along the boat going "yo!" instead of "argh".

Flex did an interview once about using Esciliene.  In his shoulders.   He wasn’t using oil in the beginning.  IIRC he said he used twelve amps in each shoulder.  Drawing a cross from his front delt to his rear delt and from the middle delt down to the bottom.   He said it took him and his wife about 8-10 hours to do the injections because he kept fainting and passing out.

That was the stuff that gave Denis Newman leukaemia, right?  So maybe there was a small element of fear..?  Nah, WTF am I thinking LOL

I dunno man, I respect your knowledge in this area 100% but one of my kids is type 1 and it can be scary shit - not sure how we could be sure it's OK to use it if you don't need it - surely there are no studies in this area?  (VanB proves me wrong in 3..2..1  ;D)

I used Parabolan a few times in the mid '90s - it was probably my favourite - never noticed a single side effect other than feeling really strong when starving myself.  The modern version must be different if it's stronger than meth!

I can't prove anything but insulin itself isn't very toxic. Diabetics get serious organ problems but that's mostly because they go around with higher baseline blood glucose I think(?) As you know sugar wreaks havoc on the body. Maybe you can confirm this, do you know what kind of blood glucose he/she has? I know they get the a1c value tested too but I did read that diabetics generally accept a somewhat higher baseline glucose, and over time the sugar is damaging. I'm not saying insulin is healthy, but I think acutely insulin itself doesn't cause organ damage you know? They, Milos' trainees mildly (imo) elevate insulin for maybe 4-5 hours a day, maybe sometimes twice that if training twice a day, but it's not constant high insulin with Milos. There are those who do run insulin round the clock though, on another forum not too long ago a fella said he was doing 300 units of Lantus a day and now couldn't lower it past a certain range. That's scary.
Regarding overdosing insulin and dying, it's completely remarkable that we don't hear about it. I think most diabetics have had hairy situations with some ambulance trips and maybe hospital stays. That bodybuilders aren't dropping left and right is amazing imo, I haven't even read about one single OD death in a couple, three decades!

Diabetes is a bitch I'm sure, you're always thinking of your sugar and worse.

I had a profoundly negative reaction to Para in the early days. Didn't touch it for a long time but then used quite a bit. You just can't compare it to some hard drug because it's a completely different thing imo.
