So we see the ads - Gamma-O, with 7 sponsored athletes under their belt, including Tammy Pies, Assuerio Silva, Jeremy Horn, Chris Cook, Andrei Arlovski, Drew Fickett and Jorge Gurgel - a mixture of bodybuilders, figure and MAM fighters. But they did forget to pay these athletes?

Acocrding to sources, Gammo-O has taken the low road, and is refusing to pay the people who are under contract with thim. This is complete bull, and everyone should know how they are treating people.

They told the athletes that they are out of money, so they a hike, we won't pay you what we owe you.

Damn, someone should sue these executives that lie.

i've never even seen a Gamma-O product in person - their ads look pretty cheap too . . .

No, those are real. He did a few guest poses completely clean and untrained after turning pro. Word is, his guts took a beating getting that pro card, and that's why he cannot reproduce his winning condition at the pro level. Who knows.

He looks great in contest condition. He took a lot of heat on the boards after doing that guest posing. He also refunded that promoter's check for the evening, a class move.

I don't think we'll ever see Cook in ripped shape again. He's going to try for 2 years, then fade. His dream is to be a poor man's Bobo Chick, and he's on his way!

Yeah, Weider put a lot of $ into him and giftwrapped his pro card, but he just isn't built for it. He'll do fine as a Cali PT or something similar.

I've seen Chris guest pose here in Chicago a couple times and he was always in decent 'guest-posing' shape...

Those pics though...OMG, I'm embarassed looking at them...wow! I'm all about sticking up for competitors and I'm not into mud-slinging or anything like that but...hey, at least he gave the promoters check back. That was a smart move on his part.

He was probably cleaning out his system...which is very smart.....more pro's need to take some time off the juice, just like the Arnold days....

I just got off thephone with Chris and he confirmed they are not going to honor their 5 year contract with him because they claim they are out of money.
He said he'll try to sue to get what is owed and they said,"Go ahead."

Until Chris gets his conditioning down and lives up to some of that sweetheart hype that Bob Chick has been giving him, sponsors won't be lining up to pay him.

His contact wasn't base don wher ehe places or how he looks.
There are others affected like UFC EX Champ, Andre Arlovski.
All their athlete simply will not receive checks anymore.

Shawn, you know how things work in this industry....In your opinion,will it do him any good to take them to court?Is he just wasting his time and money?

Oh, hell yes he does! I agree with you there. Sucks that firms can just bail. Best things athletes can do is get as much $ up front, always be on the phone with the next endorsement offer, and keep line-extending their name.

Would be interesting to know the names of the individuals behind the GammaO mess, so when they're back in a year offering a deal to a new guy with a new company, the word can be out on them. Sucks if they get to keep screwing over ppl in the same field, over and over.

Oh Chris is pissed alright. I'm sure Gamma-o will see their day in court and be used as an example for every other unethical company. Gammo-o is not handling this situation right no matter what thier so called "investors" said.
