The spotter is standing away from me so you couldn't declare the spotter rowed the bar for me.  ;D I had to do it. For you.

And I may not get 350x2 next week, but didn't you say that reps don't count?

So 355x1 beats 350x2, right?

?

As far as the 2023 challenge that is correct reps don't count. I have only lifted 315 in 2023 pre surgery and I am not even back to pre surgery training levels yet. Now as far as overall ever I have benched 365lbs or 350x2 take your pic both at about 210lbs. I still think you are going to have a hard time hitting those numbers. Based on your single 350 you are not hitting 350x2 next week or the week after but by all means go ahead and try with a spotter close. But as far as the 2023 challenge yes you are way ahead and killing it. I don't expect to go above 315 until December I don't expect to go much past 330 but we shall see.

Now as far as overall ever I have benched 365lbs or 350x2 take your pic both at about 210lbs. I still think you are going to have a hard time hitting those numbers.

Hang on a second, I thought in your view reps are bullshit, so 355-lb would beat 350-lb for 2?

So my plan was to get 355-lb, to beat your 350-lb x2.

Are you now saying I will have to do 350-lb x3 to beat your 350-lb?

My plan was to attempt a one-rep max with 355-lb.

Based on your single 350 you are not hitting 350x2 next week or the week after but by all means go ahead and try with a spotter close. But as far as the 2023 challenge yes you are way ahead and killing it. I don't expect to go above 315 until December I don't expect to go much past 330 but we shall see.

Well...I would 350-lb to go up more easily next week, so if it did, I could then try for more reps...but even if I got 350-lb x2, that would just be a tie.

So to beat it, I would have to get 350-lb x3, or 355-lb x1...so I felt it would be easier to attempt 355-lb, and see where it goes.

But now it sounds like you don't personally feel 355-lb x1 beats 350-lb x2...

So contest aside, what do you think beats 350-lb x2?

360-lb?

?

First off great job 350lbs is a great mark and at 42 years old and 200 reported pounds.

Thank you. Yes, I'm hovering right around 200-lb right now. For health reasons, I will stay around this mark, then drop to about 185-lb later. Something like that. Combining health, strength, wellness, and so on. We also tend to get slower as we get heavier, so it's a trade-off. But I'll have to decide where to fall.

None of that changes the fact that your 100lb dumbbell overhead presses were complete dogshit. It is a dumbbell shoulder press and you never brought the weights to your shoulder you did not complete a single rep much less 6 you were about a foot too high.

Now you're starting to sound like that weakling Walter Sobchak who bench presses half what you do.

I'm not saying my form was good - but even doing the reps as I did them was a very strong result. Even if I could only get half that many reps on my own.

However, over 90% of people on YouTube go to the same depth as I do, so I am satisfied with it.

I asked you to post videos of people posting to lower depth, but truthfully, there are very few such videos online.

If JoeSwift is so great let's see the mandatories exactly

I believe joswift genuinely doesn't wish to post pics because he is humble in his pursuit, rather than being a coward like others who don't post pictures.

However, I believe professional photographers were at his contest, taking pictures of all poses. So those pictures are presumably out there somewhere. Joswift could post his pictures and brag, as he is in the Top 0.1% of physiques on Getbig, but he intentionally selects not to post them.

I never said reps are bullshit I said this 2023 is a single rep contest. 351x2 would beat 350x2 but you are not there yet. I feel a 365x1 is closer to a 350x2 considering I did them within a week of each other but if you want to beat the 350 double then yeah you need to do a double. I actually struggled a lot more getting the 350x2 you will not get 350x2 this next week. When I did 365x1 it went up quick 350x2 is harder. But if you want my single all time max it is 365 if you want my double all time it is a 350 not sure why you want to go after my double with a single but whatever.

Personally I am just trying to get back to full strength I have a weird pain in my side

depends on how its used, like any piece of equipment... For full body cardio, it can be an excellent piece...

I feel a 365x1 is closer to a 350x2 considering I did them within a week of each other buit if you want to beat the 350 double then yeah you need to do a double.

Did you do 365-lb the week after doing 350-lb for 2? If so you may have gotten stronger, which could mean that 350x2 is more equal to 360-lb, but you got slightly stronger the next week, which made you successfully get 365-lb.

However, if you got 365-lb one week, and then 350x2 the following week, it might indicate another equivalent.

But I believe you are right in the ballpark. However, then I would check form. If I get 360-lb faster than I got my 350-lb, I might view it comparably to your 350x2.

I was actually surprised I got it, because I had a lackluster week of eating, and only went to Subway once, lol. So if I get a good week of eating in, I expect to beat my 350, one way or another. Maybe by getting 355. Maybe 360. Maybe 350x2, but with my spotter giving me a feather touch on the second rep, that is 99% me lifting that second rep. I would consider any of those to be an improvement over my 350-lb bench press last night.

I would say 345x2 cleanly would be better than my 350. I would think.

This can happen if I go to Subway every other day, and have my protein shakes, etc. I don't want to rely solely on training: I need to eat enough also.

It's actually funny to me because Walter Sobchak successfully got 165-lb on the bench once, so if he adds 200-lb on his bench, his lifetime max will catch up to your lifetime max. 🤣

If thats true why do you keep telling everyone that you are much stronger now than you used to be?

For starters my legs are absolutely stronger than ever. My strength right now is the best it has been post 40 other than my abdomen due to recent surgery. You need a strong abdomen to do heavy singles.  I benched 350x2 when I was 37 years old. I have had 2 major and a minor pec tear since then. I also had serious reinjury to my knees and lost a lot of size and strength. I have been adding it back consistently for years now. My goal as previously stated is to try and get back to 350 for a single in 2024. I pressed 315 prior to my surgery and despite Getbig contention it was not a max effort. Strength is not just your one rep bench. But mine will be closer in 2024.

Yes, but not lately. He hates my dumbbell press form, and I disagree with him on that.

I received a PM from a member with a 0 post count that you were upset at my post where I said that HIV spreads more in the gay male community because anal sex is more risky because you are in that community. I don't know how they would know that, but perhaps it is a family member of yours who is in the community if not yourself.

This happened with one of my ex-girlfriend's moms. She thought I was gay bashing my saying gay men [specifically, receiving anal sex is the biggest STD risk.

I first learned it in 2004 on the DVD commentary track of Ron Jeremy's biopic by Scott J. Gil. Ron Jeremy said it, then said it's not politically correct to say it, but it is a fact.

If this is true, why are you taking a medical fact personally? Also, I am actually helping gay/bi men here by putting it out there that receiving anal sex is the biggest sexual risk factor.

I don't understand why you would take it personally that I put out a medical fact which would only HELP those most likely to he impacted by HIV/AIDS.

What I'm doing is the opposite of gay bashing, viewed in that light. But I don't get why you would take a medical fact personally like that.

If so, I apologize for offending you, but I was merely stating a fact.

In the time it takes to watch that 10 or 11 second video clip, I’m 100M away to the right.

How does it compare ?

When I was a Freshman in college, the track coach brought me to the spring football practice after our workout. I had never seen a full American football game. The track coach and football strength coach were friends. They asked me to run a 40 yard dash with the football team wide receivers. I thought they meant 40 meters and I did not know what a wide receiver was.

In my shorts and running shoes, after track practice, I ran 4.33 electronically timed. The football players were really nice about it. When I say “it” I mean losing to a “thin” girl. Anybody who has played real football knows what a legitimate 4.33 looks like. It ain’t bHanky hobbling up the beach.

First time I ever lost at the 40 yard dash was to a man named Calvin Johnson at Athlete’s Performance in Tempe, AZ. He leaned and beat me. Granted he’s the size of fathead Walter and his lean was about 7-feet long.

Hi Fuckos !   🙋‍♀️

Christian Coleman is the world indoor record holder for the 60m with a time of 6.34s. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.12s. Imagine if you had dedicated training, and had tried the 40-yard dash for a second time without being exhausted from a full track practice before doing so? You could have really gone places, JustPlaneJane.

Now let's all check out this breakdown between men and women in terms of percentage disparities/differences between the sexes in the 60-800m sprint times, using the world record holding times to form a basis of comparison:

M = Male fastest time ever.
F = Female fastest time ever.

60m:
M: Christian Coleman 6.34s
F: Irina Privalova 6.92s.
M/W Disparity: 9.15%

100m:
M: Usain Bolt 9.58s.
F: Florence Griffith-Joyner 10.49s.
M/W Disparity: 9.50%.

200m:
M: Usain Bolt 19.30s.
F: Florence Griffith-Joyner 21.34s.
M/W Disparity: 10.57%.

400m:
M: Michael Johnson 43.18s.
F: Jarmila Kratochvílová 47.99s.
M/W Disparity: 11.14%.

800m:
M: Donavan Brazier 1:42.34s.
F: Jarmila Kratochvílová 1:54.68s.
M/W Disparity: 12.06%.

^ Women are an average of 10.48% slower than men.

Oh, wait - I forgot to list an event using the fastest male/female times I could find online:

40-yard:
M: Chrisrian Coleman: 4.12s
M: JustPlaneJane: 4.33s.
Disparity: 5.1%.

Imagine that, JustPlaneJane: even though the fastest women are an average of 10.5% slower than the fastest men, you managed to be only 5.1% slower than the fastest male 40-yard dash time, held by the male 60m sprint world record holder.

Like Walter Sobchak said, that's next level for a woman. Incredible stuff, really. Would you mind posting that video you have of it? I'm sure a lot of us would get a kick out of you answering that question.

Also, this:

https://www.quora.com/Could-the-fastest-woman-in-the-world-run-a-4-5-40-yard-dash

Could the fastest woman in the world run a 4.5 40-yard dash?

SF is an Asian homosexual.

Ah.

Well, fuck - my posts about HIV/AIDS were just medical/scientific. I'm not the irrational gay basher like he seems to think.

That's not the first time I've been called a homophobe for sharing that fact [Tim Fogarty thought that of me, and the mother of a woman I was dating in 2015].

No wonder nobody wants to go near these topics. Getting called names just for sharing correct information...

I wish SF didn't take it personally. I meant nothing against the gay community when I said it. It's angering being called that, when I don't hate gays, and didn't mean anything negative when I shared it.

Also angering is realizing I spent years [arguably, my entire weight training life] training chest for miniscule gains because it was never in the cards. That was until I found your post and asked you to clarify your training protocol and applied it.

And things immediately improved.

I wasted so much time up until that point...it is a bit maddening.

But hey, I applied your modifications since then, and I'd say they are responsible for at least 50% of my improvements - and everything is still going in that direction. So thanks for that, Grape. 🍇

It still pisses me off I didn't read your post sooner. I should be happy I finally did, but I'm still angry about it, lol.

Let's keep in mind that SF1900 is also one of the bigger guys.

Matt, how often do you load your subway card? why not just pay cash?

Jane is in London today, I’m guessing it’s close to night time there now.

Yes - she even took a photo of London...

...from Shutterstock. ;D

The video was sent to 3 getbiggers for confirmation, it was not posted here.

Three Getbiggers who themselves are fully anonymous confirmed it? Welp - I'm convinced.

Jane doesn’t post photos, Princess L told her not to.

 ;D ;D ;D

That's extremely convenient. Sort of like your alleged stronger lifts than mine. Thanks for letting us know.

She’s not kidding, me and a couple others here have done sprint training with her. The poster Les Grossman is the fastest of the men (played football at Nebraska) and she can turn sideways mid sprint and look back and wait for him to try to catch up.

This never happened.

A legit 4.7 is pretty fast, 4.3 is just a whole other level.

Yes - I would say an anatomically impossible one, given it's never been ran by a woman before in human history.

Hey fuckos! 🙋‍♀️
