473lbs on a full stomach of Gatorade & french toast
While playing the Trumpet & Drums - Not Bad for a 1st attempt
she's waiting for her world record to sanctioned.

Here, you get a 6" sub for $1 every $25 you put on the card. But there are a lot of app deals and random sales that just pop up.

My suspicion is that Subway is almost fine with breaking even, or even LOSING money as long as their gross sales increase.
Sales increase = illusion of success = more owners = $15,000 franchise fee for Subway + something like 12% off the top from all sales, even if the owner is losing cash.

I also think Subway was sold, but the deal isn't finalized yet. So from what I can tell, the company just wants as many sales as possible.

There is NO WAY [IMO] that giving me basically $350 for pre-paying $200 could be profitable. But if everyone did that, they'd have more sales on paper, and that seems to be what the company wants right now.

Large companies with plenty of cash on hand (like Subway) will lower prices to drive sales, which is common for restaurants and other food services, because they make money in bulk over time. Also, you would be shocked to know what their profit margins are on a single sandwich. They can afford to lose margin for determined periods of time.

So, taking a loss for an amount of time to drive up sales and traffic, increases total sales for the year, AND produces repeat buyers at a certain percentage, often for years.

So they lose X% margin for 6 months, but over the next 6-18 months they have an increase in sales from repeat buyers, which increases their margin and sales production, which equals growth, which equals more sales, more stores, etc. This is how they grow.

They do this in the housing market too, that's where i learned it. And large production/refinery industries do it in electronics sales.

It's about driving traffic to increase sales over time. And for a company this size, the amount of people taking advantage of the Subway card and rewards is negligible. And they know this.

Smart. They have brilliant people running the numbers and they always make money.

I know the owners of a large brewery in Texas, they make over 60% profit on a 6 pack of beer. And they have crazy sales and give-a-ways to drive more traffic/sales. They make millions off of these tactics. Free beer, free t-shirts, etc. Then the next 6-18 months they see record sales and profits.

Welcome to capitalism.

Hey Matt, when you're attempting to improve a 1 rep max, do you just max every week?  Or is this only because you're utilizing muscle memory and gaining strength back?  Do you do other bench sessions in the week with lighter weights to "grease the groove" or just max once and week and it keeps going up?

TITTY BOY runs away when the topic switches over to him being a piece of shit, white trash, deadbeat loser who cheats his illegitimate kids out of child support money.

He isn’t going to come here with Vince Goodrum ready to expose him about his bullshit about his getting fired from Lakehead University. A complete bullshit fable TITTY BOY has concocted.

So is the “challenge” up above 450 lbs yet, or is the board retard still filming half reps at 225 lbs?

Matt is strong.

Thanks IronNat!

The True Adonis was absolutely right - putting on 20-lb - even 20-lb of FAT - will make you [ANYONE] stronger.

It is a trade-off for speed though. JustPlaneJane questioned my 12s or 12.5s 100-metre sprint. More proof he's lying. ANYONE at THAT level of accomplishment would have had to train HUNDREDS of times. They would know that, while certain body types are ideal in sprinting, that many boys who look like I did can sprint fast.

He mentioned my small legs as an example of how I couldn't sprint that fast...LMAO...any ACTUAL sprinter knows that leg SIZE doesn't drive sprints - it's leg STRENGTH that does.

And I squatted 385x2 @170 with STICK legs. And that's likely why I was fast - because I had strong legs without body weight bogging my down.

A woman who claims a 11.11s 100m time is questioning a MAN claiming 12.12s.  ::)

Like I said, any woman who ACTUALLY ran that fast wouldn't question a male claim like mine. That's what someone who has no accomplishments would do, because he thinks a 12.12s 100m is impressive [which it sort of is, but is "Meh" on the grand scale], and out of his reach.

Anyway:
JustPlaneJane is a man and will never post his alleged female 4.33s 40-yard dash time which NO WOMAN RAN IN HUMAN HISTORY.

But I actually WILL post my lifts.

515-lb deadlift tonight. That beats my former best of 510 @170. But I weigh 199 now, and it was WAY easier. I should have tried 525, but...I'll get it next time.

550 is going to be NO PROBLEM at 200.

Lol...look at my blood pressure go up:

I wasn't sure if I got stronger this week, or just pulled more. I am down about 3 LB's. But I did get stronger. I set a timer, and it took me over 6s to get 500:

But 515-lb took me just under 6s:

So...15-lb more, and a wee bit faster! And while being a wee bit lighter. So that's good.

Also:
I shouldn't be so hard on Walter Sobchak. I met him once working at a bodybuilding expo, and he's a hard worker.

He was shining boots for people walking into the expo.

We used to call him  "Spitshine Walter." I swear to God. Oh, he'd make your shoes look like fucking mirrors. Excuse my language. He was terrific, he was the best. And he made a lot of money, too.

Salut, Walter!

Can you answer Sandrock's question:

This.

My weekly bench "regime"  ;D :

45-lb for reps.
135-lb for reps.
185-lb for reps.
225-lb for reps.
*single reps start:
265
295
315
MAX OUT.

Or maybe 270, 305, 325, like last week [ended with 350].

Next week, I'll do 275, 310, 330, then 355.

Or...keep the 270 to 325 single reps sets to conserve energy, then try 360!

Once I get three weeks in a row without getting stronger, I'll change this.

If you're making improvements, there is no reason to change anything.

I'd bet money I'll bench 360-lb next week.  :)

I told Matt to watch some (and practice) some form... All lower-back, a good way to get hurt.
Plus with better form comes bigger weights lifted...

Yikes, this is 15-20+ years of training?

My goodness, drop the weight ditch the ego and maybe try proper form.

Not sure what’s worse, Brian’s squat or Matt’s deadlifts
