Thing is, I worked "In the hood". How I treated a specific individual had nothing to do with their record. I arrested a variety of bad guys, I worked the mostly black and Hispanic parts of town. I have ultra street smarts... I lived in the side of town I worked. We had one rule.. when the cuffs went on.. it was over. There are 15 ways to control a person in handcuffs. I didn't "loathe' to respond to calls. I responded with the minimal force necessary to effect the arrest. No one died on me. It's really not that hard.

I grew up in an Irish Catholic neighborhood in New York City where about half the guys I grew up with went into the force. They were told by their older family members and friends on the force to “not get involved.” And there are more blacks in New York City than there are people in Austin TX.

You have zero street smarts. No matter what your experience. You bought into that bullshit New York Times article about how cops are more likely to use force against blacks than whites. But you didn’t even realize that 95% of the violent crimes in New York City are committed by blacks and Hispanics.

I’d be perfectly happy if this weren’t the case. It does me no good but it is what it is.
