Speeding is criminal?
Why would he be arrested for speeding, usually just a ticket.??
Is it from the sheer number of infractions??
Yes, it's that he was over by 16 mph, and he has a bad driving record already -
" Driving 15 mph over the speed limit or over 80 mph. If you exceed the speed limit by 15 mph or more over the speed limit or go over 80 mph in North Carolina, you may face a Class 3 misdemeanor criminal charge. A conviction can result in fines, license suspension, and even imprisonment. The penalties' severity may depend on your case's specific circumstances and your prior driving record. "
It's a pain to look up, but his driving record is horrible there, lot of prior speeding, etc... Someone just got tired of his bs, and charged it as a class 3 misdemeanor, which is lightly criminal.
