I don’t think it’s going to be a legitimate fight. They’re just cashing in on the attention. I can’t stand Jake Paul, but realistically, he’d probably win if it were a real match. Besides Tyson’s age (58!), decades of layoffs, drugs, and a retirement mindset take their toll. In contrast, a 50-year-old Bernard Hopkins, still actively training, would’ve had a better shot. And a 48-year-old Foreman (his age in his last fight) would’ve demolished Paul.
No real Tyson fan but he's still pretty fast for his age..
Must be all the weed he smokes 😄
Check out Mike's recent interviews. He's not joking at all. He seems like his old violent self.
Said "im going in to hurt this man"
"If I win, ill be a boxing immortal", "if I lose badly enough and die in the ring, ill be a boxing immortal" or words to similar effect.
You can see when he was fighting in the early -mid 2000's, he wasn't training. He was huge but not in condition. His genetics are to be big, with big muscles and fat. And you can see against Lewis, Williams etc he was hardly in shape, he barely tried. Came out fought hard for about 2 and 1/2 rounds and just took a beating. He didn't care.
For the past ten years or so he's been in relatively decent shape doing his weed bullshit but you can see his love for the sport is still very strong. I believe he's been training harder for the past 5 or 6 years than in the last 5 or 6 years of his career..
That said- the training clips are just snippets, not even 30 second snippets but like 5 second snippets. He's sparring but his sparring partners aren't really working hard. They're just lying on the ropes absorbing punishment.
This is so weird. 58 year old legend, former baddest man on the planet.
Vs a social media influencer who is a boxing dilletante, can fight a little bit but would be a D level fighter if he fought professionally without all the money to throw at top notch training and coaching.
