Ha! Yeah, that was crazy. His manager was caught somewhere "this is great for the promotion!" And "Holy shit! WTF is Mike saying right now!?"

Joey was Tysons promoter?

I actually think the interviewer handled it very well kept polite & knew he would react .

That is not true it was an exhibition between two guys who respected each other. Tyson and JP do not respect each other. JP wants to get a highlight KO on Mike and Mike knows it. His only defense is to KO JP. The big difference is Tyson mindset he didnt want to be fighting his last couple real fights. He wasn't having fun against Roy. Now he is having fun and he wants to fight that is a big problem for JP.

I think it’s safe to say if you can ragdoll iron Mike   Jake Paul will murder him.

mike tyson quit is his last two real fights. the roy jones fight was a work.  roy jones was knocked out several times in his career and tyson never had him in trouble. it amazes me that people think that mike tyson  is the goat of hws  far from it.

In the 80's he was able to accomplish an awful lot in a relatively short few years. His knockouts of Berbick, Holmes, Spinks, alone are really incredible if you think about it. Throw in Tubbs and Bruno , he had one hell of a run. Smith and Tucker were odd fights but the fact is both of those guys were affraid to fight and both clinched so much that the fights weren't that great. Boring distance fights then, late in the fight when Mike was frustrated, both manged to stun Mike, raising a lot of questions. The 80's were enough to get mike in the IBHOF.

90's Mike, not so much. He looked great physically huge, muscular and -at times ripped- but he fought very low level guys when he came out of prison. He had a massive entourage and I think the plan was not to take massive risks and just try to make a lot of money. McNeely, Mathis Jr. Seldon (joke) Bruno II (only truly good win of his 90's post prison comeback) gets exposed by Holyfield. Orlin Norris and Golota were actually good wins but they are in the record books as NC's, after that he was done. Botha was beating him, Nielsen gave him trouble, Eitienne basically laid down, Francis and Savarese were pushovers  then Lennox, williams and McBride all mauled him. He was still dangerous but I don't think he was training really hard at that point in his career.

Anyway.

I actually think the Paul Tyson thing is serious. Saw Tyson interview the other day. Say what you want, the man cannot lie. He's brutally honest. He's not acting. I still think his age is too much to overcome.

Who wins a legitimate (non-scripted) Tyson Paul fight?

I still love that interview where the other black man reminded him he is a convicted rapist (if he really did it i don´t know) but he was convicted.

LOL...that was great.  You can tell Mike was fantasizing about how he'd give that reporter a slow, painful death.   :D

I see Jake holding a lot and running a lot. When Mike tires Jake will pick him apart. I bet Tyson gasses in the third round.  It's a shame his legacy as one of the most famous boxers of all time will be tarnished by this journey man.  My hope and I will be watching is that Tyson destroys him.  I think it's being shown on Netflix.

and yet you did 2 minute rounds and gassed.

what gives 'thoroughbred'.

NOTICE he hasn't denied by version of events for the end of the Clegg fight.

Clegg was out to face it on 52 seconds
Brian still sat down 1 minute 21
ref calls it off after speaking to Brian twice on 1.25 after last round
Brian gets up slowly Clegg has hand raised
Brian looks exhausted and des[ondent but makes no appeal

I don’t think it’s going to be a legitimate fight. They’re just cashing in on the attention. I can’t stand Jake Paul, but realistically, he’d probably win if it were a real match. Besides Tyson’s age (58!), decades of layoffs, drugs, and a retirement mindset take their toll. In contrast, a 50-year-old Bernard Hopkins, still actively training, would’ve had a better shot. And a 48-year-old Foreman (his age in his last fight) would’ve demolished Paul.

Fortress has no idea.

But certainly I want Tyson to cave that tool’s face.

I do imagine this is a very real possibility if he can keep precise and aggressive in the early rounds.

Go, Mike!

We can all see who the hardest puncher is, the better mover, the most aggressive and the natural born fighter but is it enough against youth.
If it's not scripted I want tyson to batter him of course but I think endurance will let him down against Paul

Check out Mike's recent interviews. He's not joking at all. He seems like his old violent self.

Said "im going in to hurt this man"
"If I win, ill be a boxing immortal", "if I lose badly enough and die in the ring, ill be a boxing immortal" or words to similar effect.

You can see when he was fighting in the early -mid 2000's, he wasn't training. He was huge but not in condition. His genetics are to be big, with big muscles and fat. And you can see against Lewis, Williams etc he was hardly in shape, he barely tried. Came out fought hard for about 2 and 1/2 rounds and just took a beating. He didn't care.

For the past ten years or so he's been in relatively decent shape doing his weed bullshit but you can see his love for the sport is still very strong. I believe he's been training harder for the past 5 or 6 years than in the last 5 or 6 years of his career..

That said- the training clips are just snippets,  not even 30 second snippets but like 5 second snippets.  He's sparring but his sparring partners aren't really working hard. They're just lying on the ropes absorbing punishment.

This is so weird. 58 year old legend, former baddest man on the planet.

Vs a social media influencer who is a boxing dilletante, can fight a little bit but would be a D level fighter if he fought professionally without all the money to throw at top notch training and coaching.
