That’s false.

Illegal entry is a federal crime under 8 U.S.C. § 1325. First time illegal entry is a criminal offense punishable by jail time and fines.

Either she doesn’t know basic immigration law or she’s deliberately misleading viewers to minimize the border crisis.

It is highly likely that I have watched more clips of Abby Phillip than you have. 

Abby Phillip isn't smart.  She's a partisan hack who tries to appear calm and unbiased, but she clearly isn't.  She's an empty suit.  And I formed that opinion by watching her.   She wasn't talking about overstaying visas.  I gave you her exact quote.
