Brian already planning on trying to impress the young men with his muscles

A 50 year old man even thinking that hanging out with 20 something's is creepy

No idea what you are talking about the student profiles for Law School have many students in their 40s and some in their 50s every year

Yeah, that wouldn't be Brian.  Its not on his front lawn, today, right now..as long as he hasn't had a recent injury, surgery, crohns flare up, out with his son, out on his aarp tricycle, trap bar deadlifting, or taking an wanted selfie for "progress"

Get on a fuckin plane and fly to NC already then I will fuck you up

The thing about dressing up smart and arguing is nonsense. The vast majority of legal disputes now are one big drawn out negotiation.

Bingo.  I have been involved in a number of depositions over 20+ years and there has been only TWO where the attorneys got heated with one another.  They 'banter' back and forth and then when everything is done they basically go have lunch together.

You guys can do whatever you want with your lives. I am going to try and get into law school and see what happens.

In finance and act I have seen entire offices where everyone is under 30. What happened to the older people? I have seen them offshore entire depts. I have seen people pushed out long before retirement age. They want one manager and 20 younguns to do all the work cheap. Then they push them all out before they get the real money. I have had interviewers openly question my age.

That doesn't happen in the legal profession. Everyone is old and works until death. There is always work everywhere there is always a shitty case no one else wants you can always find work. They get to dress up fancy act important and argue. It will be fun. But so will Law School not worried about law practice yet want to enjoy the journey.

Getting dressed up and heading to law school downtown for classes and studying in the library and going to lunch with other law students and working out in the gym eating in the food court sounds like fun. I even already know a bunch of lawyers I can argue with.  Beats hanging out in a Hungarian sex club or arguing with English twats and posers about TRT dosages. But you guys do your things.

I will say if I get into Law School I get in I will become a walking billboard of bookstore Merch

thats because they cant believe you are not 60...

and then Brian would tell everyone he "owned" the other lawyer and slag them off behind their back

Yeah, true, but the occasional assholio certainly exists.  Some folks are just miserable by nature.

No councilor, you would not.

Let the Jury recognize that in the case of Hankins vs. Josh, there was high pitched screaming at a local national hardware chain complete with shaking and obvious labored breathing.  Then when there was the offer of an in person confrontation Mrs Hankins ran (somewhat) away from it faster than a gazelle being chased by a lion.

I submit that Mrs Hankins is not suitable for conflict and any sort of 'man card' he holds be immediately taken and his blue stars be replaced with pink ones.

Again, more bullshit.

HR and interviewers can not ask your age legally in interviews.

You are a lazy coward, if this was true you would have sued the potential employer.

I was told the other candidates were all much younger. I was asked how long I intended to stay in the work force. Pretty clear message. They can see the years on my resume and in interviews when they see me. They absolutely do not want someone my age.

I have a competition coming up in August.  See, I actually plan for things.  You, however, think you can just do everything whenever it strikes a little hair (pun intended) in you.

You were offered a meet up, date and location solidified....you bitched out.  Again.   Basically, the ref did NOT raise your hand....AGAIN.   Next selfie would you mind re-creating that clegg fight pose for all of us?

Bhank seems more enamored with the superficial idea of being a lawyer (playing dress up, imagined collegiate bonding and debate) than the years of actual unpaid drudgery required only to emerge in his 50s for a mid level, at best, career

Kudos if he does see it through, but there would have to be reasonable odds on him taking the admission test in Sept to prove he has "still got it" before his next flight of fancy takes hold in a few months time

Yes, I agree, kudos if he actually does it (but as with everything in Hankins life, except Da Cup luck, he never does).  And I hope this comedy keeps up for a while so we can get his input on any and all legal questions that arise.

You are forgetting Brian's propensity for cowardice, he would never attack anyone

Also he has a propensity for anxiety and choking as the event approaches.  Performance anxiety, which is part of the reason he always turns up shit on stage.  With the Cup he did practically nothing and went in on a lark with zero prep, like many here told him to do, and got lucky.  Of course he knew he could always fake Cartoon Dogs and drive home.

Practice tests are one thing, scores decades ago are another, but recent history isn't on his side here for doing well on the day of the test (September 8th) and not choking

Not sure what you're on about, I work in commodities for an energy giant and the average age is late 30s, early 40s. I've seen plenty gray-haired traders on the floor. One dev in my team is 55.

Employers are probably put off by your 13-year employment gap when you busy accomplishing things like being dirt bike champion.

Is there an element of ageism? Of course there is. But you did yourself no favours. You can't convince me that someone with a CFA (a hard skill) absolutely cannot find employment.

He comes across a a huge dick, it's that simple.  Add that to the resume gap (and no explanation why he left his prior job) and he's done.

Employers do a sift of candidates for a job
If they have 20 people without a criminal record and one with one as long as King Kongs arm that person would have to be incredibly good to get through the sift.

Why would an employer take a risk with someone with a record and a 13 year gap of unemployment?

They always told Brian he was a "special" child , what Brian didnt hear was the word "needs"

What his explanation for why he left his last job?  No one buys bullshit excuses like "the contract expired" in today's labor market.  Good people are highly desired and training is expensieve, so that's code for "problem child" wasn't asked to stay.
