I think they only put up the Lexan sheets for the big speeches, Trump has been doing a lot more "town hall" style stuff, and I don't think he likes the aesthetics of the screens, so he forgoes them.

I find it shocking that there wasn't even lower end security posted at buildings a little more than a football field away (for reference, Kennedy was shot from about 265 feet). This was either a spectacularly retarded blunder or the fix was in.

The only question is if they try again. They missed their opening, but they've still got 4 more months.

I think so. Even ho-hum Presidents have a few tries at their lives that don't get reported till years later. I think most get stopped at the Secret Service visit level, the old "We know what you're thinking, so stop fucking around." visit, but sometimes you get nuts or off the wall things like John Hinckley, the Gerald Ford try by Squeaky Fromme, this guy, etc....
