Gretchen Whitmer ... the Democrats should dump Kamala, and bring her as the presidential nominee, with Josh Shapiro as the VP candidate...

Starting over has it's own set of obstacles with regards to the campaign funds already raised from what I have heard. Kamala has name recognition among those that don't keep up with politics on a daily basis, which is likely most of the country. I don't watch much news anymore but made an exception today and there seems to be jubilation among the democrats that Biden is gone. Some big time donors had stopped giving after Bidens dismal performance. Democrats were digging in to hold their noses and vote for a walking zombie to keep Trump out of office. The fear was that it wouldn't be enough to get voters off their couches to vote come November.
The Democrats seem revitalized now with this opportunity. The VP choice will be very important as we all know, with focus likely on who can draw the most votes in the battle states as it is the EC not the popular vote that matters.
Personally, I'm at a point where I'd rather have viable options to vote for over "beating Trump". There was never any guarantee Biden was going to win anyway, and I had zero confidence he would be mentally and or physically able to do the job should he win.  So I'm happy over this turn of events and I'm Independent.

Not a surprise... save for the fact I've been on here for a couple decades, I would probably leave. It's a minor addiction that bears no good. It in my opinion has devolved into an Us against them political board where facts are less valued than opinions. That Prime put that much effort into it is beyond me. No offense intended here... but the choices we have as Americans for a presidential leader absolutely suck. Spinning it any other way flies in the face of reality. If you think Trump is the answer we have been waiting for, you're delusional. If you think Biden has been doing a great job and is the leader we need going forward 4 more years you're an idiot. Just casually reading the thread, it's pretty obvious Prime does NOT think President Biden is 100% cognitive. In his own words he said something along the lines of "While we can't believe 100% everything we see on social media (Agree), there are likely some truths mixed in with the lies..

I did not graduate college.. didn't attend other than CCAF, I took that to mean that Prime does not advocate Biden is 100% cognitive.

I don't think either are fit. But here we are... I actually haven't heard, I have tried to distance myself from the news and enjoy life. When I was dialed in.. I found I was stressed by it. I kind of keep up on the fringe, as you cannot have a social life and people not mention something about politics. If Dems "25"th him, that wouldn't bug me.. but I would hope both sides were equally concerned for America and it just doesn't seem that way.

Like 2020, I think this election will come down to who bothers to go out and vote. Trump, like he did in 2020, has the most vocal, most animated followers... no doubt. His followers are rabid in their support. He has a lot of them

The anti Trump crowd seems to be more resolved. Say what you want, wear the hats, buy the flags.. but at the end of the day, I'll get off my butt and vote Biden because the alternative is disgusting.

Whether that sentiment is strong enough this time around is anyone's guess. I suspect it will be a close race, not because Biden is so wonderful in the eyes of the majority, but because Trump is so awful. That of course will bring out the "always Trump" responses.. but in my opinion, it comes down to holding your nose and voting either candidate. I personally think among the majority, Trump is the least desirable.. but, Biden is weaker than he was in 2020 so it's any bodies guess at this point.

My theory is that the Clinton “Kill Team 6” was behind the Trump attempt. I think they felt getting rid of Trump would make it easy for them to then either kill off Biden or intimidate both Biden and Harris into leaving.
