It's insane that people can support democrats and their policies after seeing the state of California.

Agree.  It's a blueprint for the rest of the country.

Harris campaign dishes out six-figure donations to groups who support defunding police, reparations

IRST ON FOX: The Harris campaign cut multiple six-figure checks last month for left-leaning groups that have been vocal about defunding the police, reparations, and are tied to radical activists who have supported notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan.

The Harris campaign gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to a handful of Black advocacy groups who are mobilizing Black voters ahead of November's election next week, according to FEC filings released last week.

Black Voters Matters Fund, which received $150,000 from the Harris campaign on Sept. 19, has repeatedly called for defunding the police and has been vocal about pushing for reparations.

"The answer to police violence against communities of color is not more money for police," the group wrote in February 2023. "It's time to defund the police and redirect those resources into building strong, healthy communities."

In 2020, the group also tweeted, "We are proud to be partner in the #DemocracyFrontlinesFund, created to leverage millions of new dollars to fund Black-led organizers fighting for free and fair elections, and working to defund prisons and police."

Black Church PAC, which also received $150,000 from the Harris campaign last month, has multiple controversial religious leaders on its board and recent social media posts show it is partnering with a defund the police group to help with "Get out the vote" efforts in Georgia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

"We’re mobilizing 100K Strong: Knock for Change, Vote for Justice volunteers across GA, PA, and NC to knock on doors and have REAL conversations with REAL voters about the REAL issues that matter most," the Black Church PAC posted last week on social media. The post also mentioned that they were partnering with Until Freedom, which was co-founded by disgraced Women's March leaders Tamika Mallory and Linda Sarsour.

Until Freedom has repeatedly advocated for defunding

She lives in San Francisco:  homelessness, people defecating in the street, rampant crime, businesses fleeing, etc.

Where does your friend live in San Francisco? Does she live in San Burno, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, or some other close in suburb? Or does she live in The Tenderloin, which has the highest rate of homelessness? I have family who have lived in Los Altos for decades and have nothing bad to say about it. It is is about a one-hour drive outside San Francisco.

There are areas in Portland and nearby Suburbs that are wonderful places for a family to live. They are also depressed areas such as parts of ‘Old Town’, which are known for drug trafficking, homelessness, and littered streets-sidewalks that IMO, no family with children should consider living in even if they live in more recently built, expensive high-rise, and town house condos near the river.

Portland and San Francisco are vastly different, but most big cities have crappy areas and other areas which are wonderful places to live. I have no doubt where one lives in a city has a lot to do with shaping their opinion about the quality of city life.

Biden-Harris Committee Set To Push 'Plant Sources of Protein' Over Red Meat in New Dietary Guidelines—But Only After the Election
Little-known federal committee seeks to address 'branding crisis when it comes to protein'

A little-known federal group assembled by the Biden-Harris administration is preparing to issue dietary guidelines for Americans that will formally recommend beans, peas, and lentils take precedence over meats like chicken and beef.

Members of the 20-person Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee voiced support for both downgrading meat, poultry, and eggs and moving beans, peas, and lentils into the protein category. The preliminary directive came during a more than five-hour meeting hosted by the National Institutes of Health last week. The committee is expected to submit its recommendations, which would be in effect through 2030, to the Department of Agriculture and Department of Health and Human Services in early December, after the presidential election taking place in one week.

Yeah! Plant protein is wonderful. I love it. Soy protein, not so much because I don't like soy.

Check the protein content of an 8oz can of Bushes Baked Beans.

Spit Pea and lentil soup are also high in protein.

Not only that, but for folks concerned about grocery prices, meat and fish is a lot more expensive than products made with plant protein and better for your digestive system as well.

Folks who enjoy protein shakes in their diets, this one from from Costco is a great choice.

She lives in the burbs and her husband works in the city.  You cannot sugarcoat how bad San Francisco has become.  Parts of it are almost like a Third World country.  I would tell you to believe what you see, but I doubt you have actually looked.  It's really that bad.

Spent a month in San Francisco. I have to say, there are some parts that are disturbing. Tenderloin is the main one. We were looking for a high end Asian restaurant. Following the guide on the phone, it was leading us into the Tenderloin district. Now having spent 24 years in LE in Austin and familiar with the homeless I was initially not concerned. But after about 3 blocks in even I had to admit no 5 star rating was worth this. But other than that, our time in SF, walking all over, it was not any different than 10 years before

The lying liar (you) said what?

Here’s the problem. Trump DID try and get a foreign president to PUBLICLY investigate his opponent. To do so he implied he would withhold funding. If THATS not impeachable frankly I don’t know what is. It was horrific and the impeachment passed with enough votes. Were ALL the votes Democratic? No.. his treason was to the point 10 Republicans crossed the line to support the charge. That SHOULD tell your something about how bad it was, but something tells me it won’t

Did you overlook/ignore the part about 10 republicans finding it so bad they had to jump
Party lines ?
That doesn’t happen unless there is a real issue

I don’t think you’re being honest. I think you are cherry picking answers and ignoring those you don’t agree with or worse, can’t attack

So you accuse someone of not being honest, then lie, repeatedly, about the first Trump impeachment vote.  The irony.  You really are a dishonest person.

How many times have you relied on people not actually looking up your BS?  lol  The truth is not a single Republican voted for either Article of Impeachment, with 2 Democrats voting no on the first Article and 3 Democrats voting no on the second Article.  In other words, it was a purely partisan impeachment.  The first in American history.  And you are a liar.  Again.

Check the protein content of an 8oz can of Bushes Baked Beans.

Spit Pea and lentil soup are also high in protein.

And your farts content must be through the roof, disgusting.

better for your digestive system as well.

False.  It's actually the opposite.

Fiber and other naturally occurring anti-nutrients in plant-based foods make it very difficult for the human body to completely and properly digest plant proteins, and they actually do harm in the long run.

Stopping or reducing dietary fiber intake reduces constipation and its associated symptoms
"Idiopathic constipation and its associated symptoms can be effectively reduced by stopping or even lowering the intake of dietary fiber."
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3435786/

A High-Fiber Diet Does Not Protect Against Asymptomatic Diverticulosis
"A high-fiber diet and increased frequency of bowel movements are associated with greater, rather than lower, prevalence of diverticulosis."
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3724216/

Low-fat high-fiber diet decreased serum and urine androgens in men
"We conclude that reduction in dietary fat intake (and increase in fiber) results in 12% consistent lowering of circulating androgen levels without changing the clearance."
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15741266/

Ispaghula husk (Psyllium): The active ingredient in Metamucil, also found in high fiber breakfast cereals, breads, bars, and other high fiber products:

Calcium and fibre supplementation in prevention of colorectal adenoma recurrence: a randomised intervention trial. European Cancer Prevention Organisation Study Group
"Supplementation with fibre as ispaghula husk may have adverse effects on colorectal adenoma(polyps) recurrence"
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11073017/

The Orgain plant protein drink you posted above has a very long list of questionable ingredients, including Inulin fiber which is associated with colon cancer in addition to making protein less digestible:

Refined fiber inulin promotes inflammation‐associated colon tumorigenesis by modulating microbial succinate production
"In line, present study advances our understanding by demonstrating that isolated FDF, inulin, potentiates colonic inflammation and colitis‐associated colon tumorigenesis in mice. Therefore, avoiding the consumption of isolated refined inulin may help reduce the risk of colon cancer in patients with IBD in the long run."
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10644334/

UToledo Scientist Publishes Case Report Linking Processed Fiber to Colon Cancer
“All of our lab studies have shown the same thing — that diets rich in highly refined, fermentable fiber like inulin may increase the risk of gastrointestinal cancer,” he said. “While not a smoking gun, this patient’s story is compelling evidence that matches what we and others have seen in the lab.”
https://news.utoledo.edu/index.php/02_01_2024/utoledo-scientist-publishes-case-report-linking-processed-fiber-to-colon-cancer

Plant-based proteins are far less digestible than animal-based proteins.

Personalizing Protein Nourishment
"Within a food source, other components alter the overall digestibility of the proteins. Some plant foods contain anti-nutritional factors that decrease protein digestibility. Legumes, cereals, potatoes and tomatoes contain inhibitors that reduce protein digestibility by blocking trypsin, pepsin and other gut proteases (Savelkoul et al., 1992; Liener, 1994; Friedman and Brandon, 2001). Cereal grains and legume seeds contain tannins (polyphenols) that bind strongly to dietary proteins and digestive enzymes, thus inhibiting protein digestion (Jansman, 1993; Jansman et al., 1994). Nuts, seeds and grains contain phytic acid (Lott et al., 2002), which chelates minerals such as calcium and zinc. As these minerals are necessary cofactors for digestive enzymes (e.g., alkaline phosphatase, carboxypeptidases and aminopeptidases), phytic acid in foods reduces overall protein digestibility (Ryden and Selvendran, 1993). Many legumes and alliums contain saponins, which form part of the plant’s defense system (Francis et al., 2002). These saponins reduce protein digestibility by forming saponin-protein complexes (Potter et al., 1993). Likewise, many plant proteins are surrounded by complex carbohydrates (non-starch polysaccharides or fiber)—often as cell wall components—that can impede enzyme access to the proteins (Duodu et al., 2003). The abundance of anti-nutritional factors and complex carbohydrates in plant protein sources likely explains their overall lower digestibility than that of typical animal proteins."
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4927412/

Heck, some plant-based foods even reduce the digestibility of animal proteins too when consumed together.  Here's one example:

Co-ingestion of Black Tea Reduces the Indispensable Amino Acid Digestibility of Hens’ Egg in Indian Adults
"The true IAA digestibility of whole boiled egg protein significantly decreased by 17% when co-ingested with black tea.
In populations who are at risk of dietary quality protein inadequacy, the consumption of tea during or after a meal can further increase the risk of inadequacy."
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6682489/

Hear the different messaging on Israel and Gaza from the Harris campaign commercials depending on where you live

CNN's Andrew Kaczynski and Erin Burnett discuss how the Kamala Harris campaign's messaging about Israel and Gaza differs depending on which battleground state voters are in.

If you live in Michigan, a state with a dense Muslim-American population, you will see ads about how she supports the relief efforts in Gaza, where she says she "will not be silent."

If you live in Pennsylvania you'll see Kamala Harris at a different podium in an ad saying: "Let me be clear, I will always stand up for Israel's right to defend itself, and I will always ensure Israel's ability to defend itself."
