I am 46 years old. I have had 7 orthopedic surgeries to fix issues. I am now getting ready for an experimental surgery that is going to take a year to recover. I won't be able to type or drive a car or read a book or ride a bike or use my dominant right arm for months. I will be an incapacitated invalid. I am going to pay for this out of my own pocket as well insurance will not pay a dime. How many would do such a thing? What purpose would there be if I just wanted to live a normal life my pec works just fine for that. But I want something more I want to progress in weightlifting and I can not do that with 1 and a half pecs. Half this board has old injuries they do not plan to fix because they no longer care about progression I do

Here we go again with embellishment fuckery from you.  Really....an "incapacitated invalid".  A medical definition of an 'incapacitated' person means that they can not medical decisions on their own due to physical or mental issues.  You aren't going to be any worse off than someone with a rotator surgery you blow hard, whisy haired fuckwit.  You can't read a book?  Geezus..seriously?

MANY people pay for NECESSARY surgery out of their pocket because insurances won't cover it.  I have had two patients over the last 20yrs that did breast reduction due to the pain in their thoraco-lumbar spine.  I wrote medical necessity letters, found research, etc.  You want to have your tit fixed so you can be a mega ego douche and lift more.  Thats all it is.  If you can't progress with your weightlifting, why do you always say you can lift all of these weights thrown at you?  You live a 'normal life'.  You are driven by pride and ego.  THAT is why you do this.

You want to know why your insurance won't cover it?  Because an insurance carrier doesn't reimburse for (as you put it) experimental surgeries.  They don't reimburse for cosmetic shit like this is.  How many would do a surgery?  I paid my $8k deduct out of my pocket for my knee surgery.

No one on this planet is as familiar and has tried as many different diets on my digestive system as me. Crohns is not caused by diet it is in your genes.

Wow...your ego knows no limits.  You don't know more than everyone.  You are a 'therapy' abusing twat who complains about every little ache and pain.  What happened to the HGH curing your Crohns Brian?   You went on and on about it.  Looks like it didn't do shit (well, maybe not).  PLEASE tell us what Doctor recommended you take 54iu of HGH as THERAPY.   You underground abusing drug whore.

Fortified with vitamins....HA HA...omg seriously?   Do you work for Kellogg's now?

You won't be in that much pain after the surgery because (as you have bragged on here) you have "bottles upon bottles" of tramadol around the house.

Its not cosmetic you dumb fuck it is prevent further tears the next one will probably detach it completely. I dont have insurance so tell me again why insurance wont pay. You could not pay me to take tramadol and even if I did it is not a fucking pain killer it wont do a fucking thing but again never going to take any tramadol in this lifetime

Mike the gym owner said he was called. We need to hear the voicemail. I’m not surprised you’d smear the name of someone you don’t know.

My son is covered under his mother's insurance but I my child support takes that into account

They do not just give your spouse free insurance it cost money and they only have enrollment like once a year. I may enroll is next year

I paid for my Hernia surgery out of pocket

Life events qualify as changes for medical coverage. You not having insurance means she can add you during the year. Who said it was free? Why would you assume anyone thought it was free?  Good employers will offer free medical coverage.

How are you a financial wizard but you dont understand that paying for insurance coverage, especially when it’s a pretax deduction, is cheaper than paying for your medical out of pocket? This is basic economics.

Maybe you can get insurance through your law school.

Who says it has to be free?  Nothing is free.  But, like Dave D said, life events quality you.  You should have been enrolled the day you were married.  You, of all people should have health coverage.

Even if your wife has horrible employer based insurance then adding you would probably cost about $2500/year.  I can see why you'd want to pay 20K out of pocket.

I have no plans of working the next 3 years if I go to law school. I would go full time during the day. Additionally, I would take summer classes to keep my workload manageable in years 2 and 3. I never said I planned to work 40 hours a week and go to Law school. In fact, the program I am looking at does not allow 1st year students to work at all. I believe maybe 2nd and 3rd are allowed to work part time. But yeah I would focus on law school it's a 3 year program without summer classes. I would take some summer classes to make it easier. Not sure why you think I am not capable of driving to school sitting in a class reading a book and writing a paper.

Getting in is going to be the hard part let me work on that. Trying to do some lsat studying today

Bhanks, when you start law school, don’t forget to bring your GI JOE lunch box with spaghettios and share with the rest of the class.

Insurance won't cover it anyway it's either out of pocket or no surgery. I am getting my pec fixed. You guys can claim I don't need it and it is vanity all you want. I am worth it. It could cost 50k. I would still get it.

I have no kidney or liver or heart issues, but my bloodwork will be available in a few days because I check often to make sure I am healthy. I also stay clear of recreational drugs and alcohol haven't touched them for years.

You probably do have issues you just haven't dug deep enough to uncover them. You need to get health insurance. Get a high deductible plan and make contributions to an HSA. You should know about all that stuff already, why aren't you doing it?
