If someone has a total cholesterol of say, 200, and does not take statins, and someone else had a total cholesterol of 350 but got it to 200 taking statins, why would they be any different.

problem is people take statins for years without getting their levels checked and end up with super low levels of cholesterol

This subject has been beaten to death on here.
Basically if you have had a heart attack then i would advise Statins. Experts on here who think they know have never had the experience of nearly passing in an OP theater whilst still awake.

Then they have a bad Cardiologist, i am lucky as i have a very good one.
I get my blood checked once a month.
I was also informed they need to keep an eye on my red blood cells.

Maybe it is, but most folks get a physical at least once a year and get bloodwork.

You usually have to continue taking statins for life because if you stop taking them, your cholesterol will return to a high level.

That's not what I'm saying - most people get bloodwork to determine there levels regularly - meaning, too low of levels would get notice.

two weeks ?  cīmon man you need to take them longer than that to notice any changes you mentioned which some people do complain about this is true.

to notice anything like side affects you need to take them at least three months if not six.

I take a 40mg tab every second day, first of all i was taking 40mg daily.
This goes back to what i wrote before about having a good Cardiologist who monitors your blood work
The trick is to have the protection but with the minimum

Statins are a protection against further build ups of Cholesterol also in conjunction with other medicines such as AS100 to prevent a clot in a Heart stent in the future so it is a medicine for life, some Heart stents such as mine gave off a healing medicine in bursts over the first three months.

Medicine such as Prasillt 10mg is taken for the first year.

I was asked if i smoked because they thought this was a possible cause, i do not smoke.

Most cardiologists know dick about fvck when it comes to statins. They get regular visits by pharma reps and then prescribe  the ones they get the most personal benefit from. Most doctors are nothing but legal drug dealers.

Maybe in the USA but not here, sure in the USA Doctors gave out Legal Steroids to many a famous Bodybuilder but let us not confuse real Medical care with what you are implying.
