thanks nd, ive been to the o and seen the king 2 times. you people that think dillett, ray et all had a chance a fooling yourselves.   levrone at the 2004 southern states said that yates was just that damn good and you cant beat his mental power so you are never going to beat him. and that is from one of the best ever. this was during a question and answer seminar they had going. some of you peoples favorite was there too, tamali!!!!!

I have not seen the 98 show yet, but I can say this (and even the ironman coverage commented on this):

In 1998 his quads were not very cut (like dorian's have always been).

In 1999, his quads were sliced, like dorian dreamt about every night.

Having sliced quads makes your overall look a whole lot better.

That is only a small, tiny, minute, infinitesmimal fraction of why dorian suffered in the opinion of most on this board:

his quads sucked.

it was only a very small peice of the "this guy is so overrated" argument.

After all, Dorian was, and remains, forevermore, the Supreme Ruler of All Overratedness!

His quads suck because Hulkster says so? lol Royality has seen Yates in person and said his quads were awesome , but Hulkster judging from pictures say they suck lol Hulskter you've made the assesment his quads like detail and they don't , the only thing wrong with Dorian's quads is his rectus femoris is oddly shapped ( like Colemans calves ) or overdeveloped , anyway his quads had excellent shape , detail and seperation , and they matched his calves and his torso , so you and anyone who agrees with you that Dorian's quads sucked is out right wrong , look at the picture , Yates on the left with big , seperated , and hard has quads VS Fergino on the right with , big quads lacking sepeation , and not as hard as Yates hence the smooth apperance , you have a LOT to learn , but I can only teach you if you pay attention .

No you're mistaken its not who has the best bodyparts who wins a contest , its not who has the most size , or the best shape or conditioning , its the combination of  everything , and make no mistake Dorian had all the bases covered , Dorian had size , conditioning , shape , detail , posing , muscularity , and he simply looked better in most of the mandaory poses compared to his contemporaries , the sum of all of Dorian's parts made for one very impressive whole and thats what matters , I say pre tear Dorian looked amazing in almost every single mandatory pose , and while there are others who may have looked better than Yates in some poses , they couldn't tally up all the poses like he could , perfect example , Nasser match or even surpassed Yates from the front , from the side & back he got owned , simple case of not having all the bases covered , Flex Wheeler had a better front & back double bicep shot than Yates , Yates had him covered in the ab-thigh , side chest , latspreads , side tri , etc , Paul Dillet could challenge Yates in size & had better shape , but his latspreads sucked , his back double bicep sucked , and to boot his conditioning ( and back ) were not on par with Yates , Shawn Ray could match Yates for detail , conditioning , and aesthetics , but he was 50lbs lighter and this is a big mans game , Levrone , had size & aesthetics , plus good conditioning , he could handed Yates his ass in a few mandartories , but his back wasn't up to Yates and the trend with Mr Olympias is outstanding back development !! so while some guys had clear-cut advantages on Yates they always feel short in the end one way or another .

ok all what you said thats all great... but in reality... paul dillet had a better overall pakage than yates.. so did shawn.. and levrone... and flex....
..
its simple arithmetic.. dorian had more mediocre boyparts than all the aforementioned.....
for example
dorian outweighed flex=x by... say 20 30 lbs.. yet flex had bigger arms than him...?..and way better balance and aethetics.... better delts.... better quads.... ?
paul had better delts.. arms....legs ....better everything except back....

Great taper is when you are facing front in the relaxed round like this:

Many similarities:

-Unusually GREAT density
-Squat silhouettes befitting piano movers
-Torso overwhelms mediocre arms and average-sized legs.
-Lack of taper
-Lacked superstar quality
-Both benefitted hugely from Weider favoritism.

Bottom line:
-Neither deserved most of their wins against better, more deserving BBs.

He's never seen a Pro , he bases everything on pictures lol after seeing Yates based on a few pictures of the 1994 Mr Olympia , he surmised that Dorian is the most overrated bodybuilder in the history of the sport lol I've told him a million times that to the mjority of people who have seen Dorian up close and personal that he has to be seen in person because pictures do not do him justice he needs to hang onto little things because that all he has , they faced eight times and Dorian got the better of him and he is hell bent on proving that Ronnie is better , Ronnie looked great in 1998/99 Olympia 2001 ASC like Yates he is progressively getting worse anyway Dorian's quads were fine .
