As massive and striated as Ronnie was in 2003, I personally think that his 1999 showing would smoke his 2003 version of himself.

I have seen the 2003 videos and the 1999 videos and in 1999 Ronnie had a great taper and a small waist.

In 2003 he had taper damaging obliques.

I still think his 2003 form would take yates, but it is not his best ever presentation.

ronnie does not have to be in his best ever form to take yates, IMO.

Ronnie in 2003 still outweighed that B&W version of Dorian by 20 pounds or so.  It is a joke that ND still debates this.  Ronnie is bigger and has better symmetry.  Dorian never came into the Mr. Olympia even close to carrying that mass that he displayed weeks out from the Mr. Olympia.  Those photos of Ronnie are not even from 2003; they are pre-contest 2002.  Regardless, Ronnie has taken the sport to another level as far as muscularity goes.  Bitch all you want about the gut, however, it was Dorian who started that trend.  Haney was 250 with a wasp waist.  Arnold was 235-240 with a small waist.  Since the judging changed, Ronnie changed with it.  Regardless if you like it ND, Ronnie is just the natural evolution of your guy Yates.  Yates was great for two years (2002, 2003).  After that, he was gifted many a Mr. Olympia.  You yourself have stated you did not appreciate his condition much in 1994/1996 and 1997.  Oh well, continuing to pontificate to those with no ability to learn is pointless.  Continue with your endless drivel ND.  I am sure the board awaits upon your every word (four paragraphs or more would be appreciated....

ND, I don't sit in front of my computer every spare moment just waiting to reply to your verbal jibes.  Let us see, I am a doctor; i care for patients.  I enjoy bodybuilding and the lifestyle and enjoy these debates.  However, when this thread hit 100 plus pages, I had to see what all the fuss was about.  Guess what, it was you and Sucky droning on for page after page about absolutely nothing.  Nothing you write is enlightening; in fact, it is insipid and boring.  Your arguments are laughable.  The reason for your foolishness; you aren't exactly defending the paradigm of muscular aesthetics.  You are defending the individual who single handedly made it ok to have a huge gut and no arms and still reign supreme in the BB world.  Haney may have not had the best arms or legs, but they were proportional and cut.  Dorian was a walking travesty after the 1993 Olympia; he was ok in 1995 but his conditioning in 1994 and 1997 was abhorrent.  Ronnie, although not to Haney's degree, has managed to maintain a very aesthetic physique.  You keep on pointing out backstage pics with a distended gut.  Why is it that his gut is not so obvious in the comparisons; even in 2003 or 2004 when he was 290 pounds?  The man is better; it is evolution.  If Dorian would have kept on competing, he would have gotten anally raped from behind.  The differences in quality are staggering.  Ronnie is so much better that it is not even funny.  Open your eyes one armed man (broken wrist and forearm right?); I know you want to emulate your hero but intentionally maiming oneself is a bit extreme.

by that logic, you can't compare anyone who doesn't weigh the same. this is bodybuilding, if someone has a better back weighing 380 pounds than someone who weighs 230 pounds, he has a bigger back. period. otherwise i could say my friend has better arms than any ifbb pro, it's just that he only weighs 130 pounds but he'd look way better than any of them if they all weighed 130. it's a bullshit argument.
