Ever notice that Dorian recieved almost straight firsts in EVERY single one of his 6 Mr Olympia titles and that was directly compared to some of the very best in the history in the spot. so when you say Dorian looks good alone and not next to other people it shows your bias because no one ever came close to beating him.

ever noticed that dorian never faced anyone with great lats, a thick back, good symmetry and great detail ala peak Ronnie.

oh wait. He did - Lee Haney.

and oh yeah, HE LOST!

seriously, ND - how can you post shots like this and then say that his arms are detailed and balanced with the rest of his physique?

those arms are not detailed.

those arms are not balanced.

Here is a pic of someone who has detailed arms that balance (so you can understand the concepts):

I hope this remedial lesson has helped.

He WON the muscularity round despite being 10lbs lighter and no where near his best  ;) you bitch about that offten when comparing Ronnie to Dorian when he owned him and BTW that was Yates first Mr Olympia as well .

Notice how Ronnie never faced anyone with Dorian's level of size , thickness , density , conditioning , balance and proportion who could match or even surpass him in the back dept  ;) oh thats right he did and lost all eight times .

notice how ND is getting destroyed using his pics, so he resorts to numbers and "facts and figures" that are totally irrelevent to the comparison of peak Ronnie vs. peak Dorian?

You can't say that just because Dorian beat so and so that he would be a peak Ronnie.

It doesn't work that way.

All that tells you is that Dorian could beat so and so.

It doesn't tell you anything about a comparison to someone else.

This is just basic flawed reasoning.  I learned about arguments with fallacies in them in philosophy at university..

I could have used ND's techniques to write one hell of a paper 8)

Nice try playing follow the leader but Ronnie's ARMS as a whole are NOT balanced and the detail is clearly evident to those without biased eyes.

Remember the judges are looking for calves & forearms along with muscular balance something you deemed as minor parts that mean nothing lol

For the gazillionth time, DORIAN NEVER FACED RONNIE AT HIS BEST.
You don't just go from 9th place Olympia to an unprececented 8 win Olympias.
That's bullshit and you know it.

Well instead of lolygagging at " University " you should have been reading the I.F.B.B. judging criteria because you are clearly uneducated about it  ;) I didn't seen superior V-taper or superior X-frame or the most vasuclairty lol and dismissing calves & forearms as muscles that don't matter , brush up on the rules and then come back an apologize .  ;)

And neither was Dorian  ;) remember Dorian beat Ronnie in 1997 with two torn quads a torn bicep and a tricep that was litteraly hanging on by a thread , in fact Ronnie never faced ANYONE of Dorian Yates caliber 93/95 in his tenure , who'd he face ? a past-prime Flex and Cutler? please .

Its not Ronnie's fault his competition went downhill.

All it means is that he was that much farther ahead of the pack, like in this shot:

ND, you are getting sad.  You damn well know that Ronnie would have kicked Dorian's ass in 1998.  Dorian was gifted 1997, much like many bodybuilders who present a good physique at one time are given the benefit of the doubt and given a higher placing than they deserve.  To even deny that a 1998 Ronnie would not annihilate a 1998 Dorian totally invalidates you.  Even Sucky, the most ardent Dorian nuthugger the world has ever seen, can see this.  Moreover, to say that Dorian's loss to Haney was because he was not at his best is laughable.  In 1992, he presented the same damn package and would have gotten second again to Haney.  In 1993, he was 257 or so and had put on fifteen pounds of very impressive muscle.  This was his pinnacle; his ultimate condition.  Forever after, he was a shell of his former self.  In 1994, he tore his biceps and came in out of shape.  In 1995, he was hard and conditioned, but his proportions and aesthetics sucked.  In 1996 and 1997, we won't even go there.  He looked like total cacka in 1997.  His arms were pathetic, his conditioning made Ronnie 2001 look like Munzer.  His waist was large and blocky.  He was 270 pounds of shit.  Anyone who thinks he could have beaten Ronnie in 1998 in a fairly judged contest is asinine, insane, or exceedingly biased.  I think you have proven yourself to possess all three of these characteristics.  Being a health care professional, it is my professional duty to inform you that you need eye glasses and psychiatric therapy as you are completely deluded.  This thread has become a complete joke when you argue Dorian circa 1997/1998 to Ronnie 1998/1999.  At least be sane and admit you need to compare Dorian circa 1992/1993 to an alltime best Ronnie.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

PS ND....Jay Cutler today would have whooped any version of Dorian post 1995.  It is laughable that you can laugh at Jay.  He is quite possibly the second most muscled individual in history behind you know who.  Dorian in 1996 or 1997 beating Jay in 2005....please.  I cry for your ignorance.  :'( :'( :'( :'(

One I claimed Dorian would beat Ronnie in 1998 because of I.F.B.B. protocol not because he would be good enough , I don't think he should have won in 97 personally so where you got that I said Dorian would deservedly beat Ronnie 98 is beyond me

And are you shitting me ? Dorian was 239lbs when he lost to Haney in his first Mr Olympia obviously he wasn't at his best and he still beat Haney at his own game the musculairty round up until that point no one made a dent in Haney's armor and I've said if Haney showed up like he did in 91 in 92 he would have beaten Yates again but come 93 Haney would have been stopped dead in his tracks.

94 he was off from 93 obviously but most certainly good enough to win 94 was a total redemption from 94 he was never aesthetic I don't know why you would bring that up 96 he was again good enough to win , in 97 he should have lost .

Jay is very heavily muscled yes but his dryness or back have never been on par with Ronnie nevermind Dorian and you guys think Yates is blocky? lol

If he didn't have a gut he would have looked good in every year!  Even 2003 was a good year without his gut and you have to admit he held it in fairly well that year.
True.
