That what was so good about peak Ronnie: he had mass, he had aesthetics, he had great arms (the first Mr. O. since 1983 to do so).  He had it all.

He was an effective combo of a lot of great qualities.

Yates was just mass - he had the power lifter look.

He had no aesthetic qualities about him what so ever:

You can post all the bad pics you want it doesn't change the fact he's NOT aesthetic and couldn't hold a candle to the top 20 guys who were on that list , he didn't make the list for a reason and I know the list means nothing to you because he wasn't on it but if he was you'd be screaming it to high heaven lol Dorian outright beat a lot of aesthetic bodybuilders , he doesn't have to conform to ANYONE elses standards to beat them , he was a winning machine 15 wins out of 17 contest with 2 second places thats fucking insane .

Yates = construction worker/powerlifter type physique.

If Ronnie had stayed looking like he did in 98/99 he probably would have made the list. After all, the magazines in 1998/99 all proclaimed him to be very aesthetic. Hell, musclemag even commented after the 1996 NOC that Ronnie was "exactly like Flex, only blown up two sizes"


and you can clearly see why..

But he pulled a jekyll and hyde routine and lost his great taper and lines.


Despite what you say, there WAS a time when Ronnie was considered to be a very aesthetic bodybuilder.

After all, you value magazine opinions above everything else, so you should agree.

2. the judges never even gave a shit about Ronnie until halfway through the prejudging in 1998. He was always overlooked at the big shows up until then.

and

Dorian was no where near his peak and he beat Haney in the muscularity round , see the pattern , if Ronnie was so spectacular he would have made some ground , he never did

And Genius Ronnie was WINNING after the prejudging in 1998 , Flex commented on knowing he was going into the night show TRAILING stop making baseless claims .
