Hulkster's camp. You all talk about lack of detail, and no taper with Yates. In 1993 at his all-time best, Yates handily outmuscled, out-detailed, and was better conditioned than both Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler. This cannot be denied. Credit must be given where credit is due.
I've always given credit to Yates for density, hardness, dryness and in some areas of his body that do not include parts of his arms & delts, detail. It is exactly those attributes that are some of Coleman's weakest areas relative to Yates. However, Coleman's well ahead of Yates on virtually any other criterions.
That has nothing to do with taper. The points on taper stand-he never had Coleman's lat width, always had a wider waist and thus a smaller taper. That is completely separate from his conditioning and thin skin which I've never denied.
