Wheeler's GOT to be the 2nd best BB of the last couple of decades, behind Coleman. That he was never allowed to win even ONCE while Yates when on and on further highlights the questionable/commercial IFBB agenda in these contests.

Wheeler looked great! Was always struck by how similar his & Ron's physiques looked-except that Ron had him beat in size in a couple of key areas like thigh size & lat width as well as structural shoulder width. Unfortunately for Wheeler, between politics with Yates and then Coleman always just a little better, he was denied a deserved win or two along the way.

This thing about Yates having better tris is farcical & has to be put to rest. Ron's close on cuts and dominates him  on size-you don't get to 23" arms that blow Yates out of the park with just biceps.

agree totally. Despite what ND says, Flex and Ronnie were very, very similar, but Ronnie had lats and a thick back.

  You moron. I was refering to the 2004 Olympia. In 2003, Ronnie was dry, but had thick obliques, a distended midsection and poor abdominal definition. All things which, according to you, take away from a bodybuilders quality. At the 2004 Olympia, he had all of these liabilities, with the added bonus of a thick film of water under his skin. It is a travesty that Yates won the Mr. Olympia with arms that looked like that.  In that last shot, his supposed good arm looks like a Junior Nationals competitor.  Hell, I have seen guys at local state qualifies with better biceps.  Post bicep tear, the left arm was quite possibly the most laughable in the entire IFBB.  BTW, look how much bigger Nasser is than Yates in that back double bi shot.  If he only would have come in drier, his arms and shoulders destroy Yates.  He obviously is twenty pounds heavier.  Nasser should have won at least once.  Yates back double bi is a caricature gone bad.  You have an incredibly dense and impressive back with average shoulders and sticks for arms.  Anyone who is still debating this point is plain wrong.
