Yates truly was vanguard.

He was able to build mass in places other pros up unitl that point were unable to do.

Trendsetters:

Samir bannout - christmas tree

Gaspari - ripped glutes

Yates - gut

Once any of the above was witnessed on stage, immediately that became the standard to which pros worked towards.

Samir had a awesome x-mass tree at 188lbs Gaspari had ripped glutes at 209lbs Dorian had both at 257lbs and in 93 he had no gut to speak of .

You seem to chuck that term "back peddle" around a bit too often. Especially when it hardly ever makes sense in the context that youre actually using it.

look at the pics ND: it was not nearly as close as the scorecards make it out to be.

Everyone but you can see this as plain as day.

Other than the quads (and abs) Ronnie make flex looks SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH top to bottom.
