This pic is absolutely atrocious: his gut distension can be seen even from the front, his taper is horrid and both his abdominal and serratus separations suck. You're a terrible advocate for Ronald Coleman, and I seriously doubt whether he'd approve your choice of pics to defend him, if he read this thread.

Cool, whatever you say man. Ronnie's taper is not "horrid" like you say. He had an x-frame at 287 lbs. Dorian weighed over 20 lbs less and was built like a refrigerator. I would hate to hear what you think of Dorian's taper. You also conveniently ignore Ronnie's strengths in that pic. His chest is fuller and more striated than Dorian's. His arms are larger and have better separations. Even his forearms look great. Ronnie's legs have more quad sweep and detail than Dorian's. As for my choice of pics, I feel I do a good job representing Ronnie. You seem to be the only person who disagrees. Just to refresh your memory, I was the one who first posted these pics.

That was Ronnie at what I believe to be his all-time best. He was 275lbs 18 days out of the 2002 mr. olympia, and some how managed to go all the way down to 243lbs flat as a pancake

BFTO 2002 WAS the new standard, he looks much more impressive there than he does in the BFTO 2003

That front relaxed pic is from 2002 pre-contest. Ronnie was on path to bring his best ever package to the Mr. Olympia that year, but he ended up overdieting. I think we all remember how depleted he looked. It's a shame. He might have presented a physique that would put all his other versions to shame.

If you compare BFTO 2003 to BFTO 2002, 2002 puts 2003 to shame.

As it stands, the best we have seen from Ronnie is arguably what is seen in my avator OR 1999 Olympia OR the 2001 AC depending on what you prefer.

the differences in these three performances are minor to say the least.

The 99 british grand prix and 99 Olympia appear to be exactly the same shape, just with different lighting.

The 2001 AC might have had a touch more detail but had more of a gut when not sucked in.

One of the most important things to take away from this thread is that you CANNOT base Yates' greatness on his victories and scoresheets becuase he was incahoots with the head IFBB judge who helped him out the last three weeks before the contest!

You simply have to go with what you see, and based on that, Ronnie destroys Dozzer

exactly. ND's basis seemed to be numbers and score sheets while all of us are saying "look at the pics and videos!"

Hulkster, I agree that Ronnie looks better.  However, give the man his due.  Doz looked damn good in 1993.  I don't think he beats Ronnie (prime), but who does???  Then again, that shot of Doz in B&W above is far more impressive to me than any of the contrived pics taken for Flex six weeks before the show.

Guys, Ronnie is amazing.  That is quite evident.  I don't believe that IceCold or Sucky or ND is debating that fact.  They feel that Dorian deserves his due.  Admit it, at one time Dorian looked amazing.  Whether you feel he looked as good as Ronnie is one thing and not really relevent.  Appreciate what positive attributes he brought to our sport.  I agree, Ronnie is better.  However, those who feel differently are not wrong.  Remember, BB is not black and white.  It is not soccer or football.  It is subtle and one judge can easily see something differently than another.  However, I love the sport, as different physique types can win.  Thus, learn to get along and appreciate both bodybuilders for what they have achieved.  Hell, me and Sucky made peace.  I can even say I like and respect the guy.  I like Pumpster, Hulkster, Pobrecito, ND, Praetor and IceCold, too.  Remember, to the average person we are kinda weird going on and on about muscular men in posing trunks.  We are a very small community and should at least stick together.  Stop bashing one another and realize that in the end we are all fans of an eclectic and unique sport.  We can agree to disagree.  That is cool.  Just stop the hating.  Remember, both of these guys are absolutely, undeniably great!

When comparing the two, Dozzer and Coleman, you really should compare them when they were at their all time best IMO.

Fact is, when Ronnie competed in 98, he didn't have a gut issue. Didn't have great abs, but they were good enough.

ronnie's rear lat spread was insane. The tiny waist and christmass tree made a big difference compared to Dorian's..






check out the difference in terms of muscle mass of Ronnie's back compared to the others in this pic. It is crazy.
