We'll see. It's theoretically possible for someone to surpass Ronnie. However, the odds are extremely low. You would need someone with better genetics than Ronnie. That limits the field of potential successors down to less than .00001% of the population. Next, they would have to start bodybuilding. What good is having better genetics if they don't get into bodybuilding? The percentage of people who are bodybuilders is less than 1% of the popluation. Finally, he would also have to stay in bodybuilding long enough. There's no guarantee that he will be injury-free or not quit for some other reason. I'm not sure what the odds of this are.

Ronnie never had the best genetics in BB though. If Dillet had the drive and work ethic of Coleman he would have been the best ever. He had a great midsection and calves just like dorian!

true, but the question is: had he trained ala Ronnie and dorian, could his back have looked anything like theirs?

just like ronnie can train for 234 years, and never have calves like Paul or Dorian, could Dillett ever have a really great back?

I never said Ronnie had the best genetics. I was just saying that a bodybuilder would need better genetics in order to surpass him. Dillet was good, but his back sucked ass. No amount of work ethic would make up for his crappy lats. I personally think Nasser had better potential. The guy was huge everwhere and had a flat midsection. His only problem was his back wasn't dry enough.

Surpass Ronnie in what respect? Mr Olympia wins? I doubt that will ever happen again , and Ronnie doesn't have a great genetic structure but he has great genetics none the less.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes to see one or more greats to surface; only happens every decade or more. It will be hard for anyone to surpass Coleman's size; it will instead likely be a combination.

I think someone will be able to match Ronnie in terms of size & conditioning its possible ! it may not happen for a long time but the trend is going up.

Surpassed? lol not quite I honestly don't think anyone has match Dorian Yates in terms of muscular size , density , proportion and extreme conditioning , even to this day.

Well Arnold set the precedent for Haney to follow and he surpassed it , and Haney chased it beat it Ronnie has tied it and blew it on his attempt at setting himself above Haney .
