Oh, of course you can. Aren't the waist and obliques visible in contrast to the shoulder girdle? Yes, they are. And you're wrong about taper being created by the lats. This is true when you throw your arms back in the abs-and-thighs, but not in the front relaxed round. There, taper is a funtion of shoulder width-to-waist. By the way, Hulky, why don't you post the abs-and-thighs shot of Ronnie from the 1999 Olympia, to show how crappy his taper was despite his lats? Do you want me to do it for you?

However, nothing beats this front lat spread. Dorian is 262 lbs here, 5 lbs heavier than Ronnie, and his taper is superior. Why? Their clavicles are of equal width, but Dorian's lats spread spread wider from the front.
