again your misrepresenting my posts
you claimed that dorian would look better. i asked how so? more cuts? bigger arm? better shape? you never replied. in fact you avoided the question.
pictures dont lie. people will have the same shape, cuts etc. pictures have the capacity to decrease but cannot create something that is not there, contrast increases obviously do. the photo captures how he looks at that time, with that lighting with that contrast. in person at that moment he would look the same. if you didnt take the photo at that time and just looked at him,he would appear the same. he would not have different shape, or leg seperation. HOWEVER, i agree that he would look better then in photo. gasp, how you ask? ill tell you.
due to the context. that is, dorian in picture is not scaled properly, has no context, and is not animated. all these things and more would make him more impressive. HOWEVER, ronnie would also look better in person, so would dennis james, and everyother pro. the context adds alot.
look a picture of the grand canyon and then go there. you will find that you will be blown away by the sheer size of the canyon in person that you never expected from the photo. HOWEVER, the canyon will not be shaped different, have more ridges etc.. that is the photograph shows what is there.
Your problem is you can't seem to follow the argument , I've most certainly answered every single one of your questions and specifically about why Dorian would look better in person than pictures and video , I've explained that Dorian has fair skin and a lot of the times his details can get washed out in pictures and video , you dismissed this hence why I think Dorian looks better in some black & white shots because his detail isn't washed out and pictures most certainly do lie , pictures are just moments in time and the obvious difference is when the shot was taken , I noticed this when getting screen captures when pausing to capture a screen if not done at the exact moment when someone is flexing the guy looks totally different from when fully flexed , with pictures it all depends when the shot was snapped if he was fully flexed yet , if he was in transition to another pose , etc , etc pictures do lie and don't tell the whole story
and again what part of I've never seen that quote mentioned about Ronnie did you miss? you're under this delusion that if its true for Dorian it must be for Ronnie and I've read most of the contest reports with Ronnie Coleman from 92 until now and never once have I ever seen the quote associated with Ronnie , yet many felt compelled to specifically state this about Dorian ever wonder why? just because it doesn't make any sense to you doesn't mean its not true
Flex magazine Jan 1992 on Dorian Yates
" Dorian has the type of physique that looks much better and more powerfull in person than photos. I personally saw him onstage , and Yates if definitely light years ahead of the way he looks in photos.
MuscleMag International Feb 1994 on Dorian Yates at the 1993 Mr Olympia
" He's huge , absolutely HUGE ...he's ripped completely RIPPED. And while he's not in possession of the prettiest physique body by a long shot , he's equipped with all the bodyparts you need to win .
Combine this with the fact that he's 10 TIMES more impressive when you see him onstage at the Olympia than he is in pictures or on videos and you got yourself a winner.
" Chris Cormier standing next to Dorian onstage he sensed ' radiation coming off him , like an aura. ' The power of that muscle was tangible. It exerted a force all of its own. Cormier thought ' I might as well forget about this guy and concentrate on being second. ' There was something else , too , strange. You had to witness him in the flesh. such granite hradness had a property that could nor be held on film or caught on paper. You had to see it live.
Peter McGough Flex Magazine May 2002
Let it be said that the camera can lie at physique contests. Some guys look great onstage but not so great on final film (Dorian Yates, for one) and vice versa (Shawn Ray is an example).
Obvious these people were compelled to comment on this for a reason , I've never seen this quote said about Ronnie .
