Coleman is the clear winner, hey I only said haney had the thicker chest and the wider back.

Coleman is more complete and his muscle form is better and he is of course bigger cause he is heavier.

I was more impressed from haneys back than from colemans.

Haney looked awesome without the drugs from today but it's pointless to compare a guy on GH with someone like haney that had not the chance to max his potential like coleman did on GH.

I have seen both guys a few times on stage and coleman even backstage and I can  tell you haney is still the man with the best back in my book.

Sure coleman has awesome arms and legs and also a great back so therefore he is more complete but to claim haney would be a b tier olympian is stupid.

Both guys have/had flaws, coleman is far away from perfect.

To compare a guy on GH with somone that hasn't used it is almost like you would compare a natural with someone on roids   Pointless.

Hell haneys back/chest was better than colemans and that almost 20 years ago so that should give you an idea how haney would have looked compared with him if he would have used todays drugs and would have played the mass game 

Haney is still unmatched if it comes to back and chest thickness, you would say the same if you would have seen haney onstage at his best.

So better biceps/legs for coleman yes but better back or chest no way....

Sure coleman would win over haney at his best no question but like I said haney is the man if it comes to chest and back.

Never forget haney peaked almost 20 years ago so please stop to compare them.

Haney is also in great shape on the 1988 pics and if you open your eyes you will see that haney is the clear winner if it comes to v-taper,muscle bulk and shape of the lats oh and lets not forget the traps thickness.  Yates has a pencile neck compared to haney

haney does not have wider lats then coleman. nor is his back thicker. ronnie was in better condition at a higher bodyweight. throw in the 03 ronnie and its a ridiculous argument.


the fact that you've seen both means literally nothing. why do you think eye witness testimony isn't a credible source of evidence?

memory, bias, and suggestibility often affects us, actually always effects us. you seeing haney years before coleman at his peak(YEARS) would lead your mind to decieve you. im looking at the pictures and i fail to see how is back is wider or thicker.

i think the issue with haney is that he had no real competition.

all of his main competitors were like 5'6.

he never faced any formidable competitors, unlike yates and ronnie. 

any year of yates or coleman, if they were off, any # of guys could win.

can the samething be set for haney?

Now, not to dispute that Dorian had a great back, it clearly does not flare out in the awe-inspiring way which had so many people crown Ronnie's as 'the greatest back of all time'.

In the same way that Dorian's wins were cool because he had his own style and wasn't all arms and small waist like so many bbs, Ronnie had his own style too and his awesome lat-waist ratio is part of it - coupled with his trademark unparalelled hams/glutes. In this sense it's apples and oranges, but personally when I look at Yates's back double bi I see a thick back with little taper accompanied by huge delts and strange looking arms. Ronnie's is a 3D display of width and (it's called the BACK double BICEP) awesome biceps which is anything but flat. It's insane when people say Yates wins this one. Plus Dorian has a noticeable lat imbalance, his right one looks slightly damaged, certainly asymmetrical.

Back lat spread is much more debatable, but give this one to Ronnie without doubt.
